Sakamoto Days, which has not yet been animated, was ranked second after One Piece in the average publication ranking in 2023, ahead of My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen. I highly recommend reading this manga because the panel layouts and artwork in the fight scenes are really amazing, and the characters are just so cool. In Japan, there are many voices of concern about whether the anime version will be able to accurately portray the battle scenes from the manga, but I am very much looking forward to it.

Even less popular WSJ series like undead unluck and elusive samuari was given to better studios meanwhile SD has genuine potential to be a huge hit for WSJ with JJK and MHA likely ending this year. They need their next big hitter and Sakamoto days has all the ingredients to become mainstream anime like JJK. Why are you giving it to a studio like TMS? The staff list is not promising at all.

@@neoparmar2169 yeah, the whole situation surrounding the SD anime is weird. The rumours talking about a SD anime have been going around for what feels like a year+, there were even leaks that the anime is, in fact, in production. There was ALOT of anticipation for the inevitable announcement and now that it is here, the product looks... fine. It's honestly SUPER weird. I think it might be, because the biggest studios already have too many shows to pick another one up, especially one as highly anticipated as SD and so they gave it to a decent studio. On the other hand, who WOULDN'T want to produce an anime like SD for some easy recognition and money, especially studios that would be able to gather an impressive staff list. It just might be that there are so many anime in production, that SD simply got the short end of the stick.

The manga is so good! The first half of the season (hopefully it’ll be 25 episodes) will mostly be cool/fun, but once the main plotline really begins, you will see insane action scenes if the anime does justice to the manga. There are a lot of cool characters, good antagonists, and crazy fights. Just to tease you a bit more, the author of Jujutsu Kaisen said that after he saw the fight scenes in Sakamoto Days, he realized how much his were lacking. I’d really like to see your reaction when it airs.

What berserk lmao that trailer they showed was pre-animated. Bunch of animators who animated the clips in that trailer came out on Twitter and said "thank you for giving me a chance in the trailer, these are my cut I did for berserk trailer". Clearly showing that all of them were hired to make an pre-animated trailer.

Don't have much high hopes for sakamoto, the team and the director working on this are not promising at all. It's not gonna be a sakuga heavy show like JJK, csm or demon slayer. Hell I doubt it's even gonna come close to kaiju no 8 in terms of animation.

Sakamoto Days starts off like Spy x Family, very slice of life. However, as the story progresses, it will start to become a true battle shounen with fight scenes that are better than the ones in JJK.
