Music's great! Painting is bad. I am a trained painter. The mess on screen does not compare to the music artistry. Art, whatever it is is an act of praise or worship. Artistic praise is a deliberate act of worship using the gifts of art and craft given by God, fine tuned and inspired by the Holy Spirit, NOT feelings. This "painting" style is Abstract Expressionism or gestural abstraction; an avant-garde movement where the artist asserts their emotions by choosing colors, textures and casting them on the canvas in a gesture or emotion based from their feelings (like Jackson Pollock, Jean Dubuffet, Willem De Kooning; all tormented individuals). THIS, is an unholy way to paint. As followers of Jesus, and readers of the Word. "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?" - Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is the seat where all our feelings and emotions come from. If we do not test every emotion, every spirit that comes from the heart, Satan will operate in our ignorance. A painter, who thrashes and pours paint to his heart's content, Satan will operate in that thin place to make "art" that honors everything BUT God the Father, Jesus His Worthy Son, and God the Spirit. As followers of Christ and members of His Body, we are called to Worship and love Him with all our Heart, All our MIND, all our soul, and all our Strength. Strength, like physical strength is a gift from God. Everything we have that is good (what is given by God) is a resource, a strength to be used to honor Him. Including talent, vision, and materials. An "artist" is a person gifted with talent, vision, and materials. To love God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind and all your strength as an artist means to create something that pleases God. Like the sacrifice offerings whose aroma was pleasing to God, an artist makes something of beauty, logic, sense, and appreciation for The Creator. To offer a manifestation of feelings is to spit in the face of The Creator who gave you hands to assemble and eyes to see and a mind to think, learn, grow, and worship. We are not made to make "art" a chimpanzee can make.

Good job you don’t know the painter otherwise you would not be commenting the way you did! The Lord knows his heart. Your training does not determine the painters intentions towards God. The word says to encourage one another, unfortunately your comment does not reflect that. Blessings and shalom
