Best thing I've heard since I worked with Loudness in the 80's. Girl You shred 🖤🖤🖤 Subscribed, Posting on X & Following You.
@BulletProofSoul10292 ай бұрын
Don't know if you noticed, but she plays Killer brand guitars which was founded by Akira Takasaki of Loudness and distributed by ESP. The name Killer comes from Takasaki having fun with how the Japanese pronounce their "L" like a "R", so "killer" sounds like "kirra" which is a play on Akira (I've heard that Takasaki took it from being described as a "a killer" guitarist). Anyway, Saki is the only guitarist endorsed by Takasaki with her 7 string Killer Empress model. She's been a player in the Japanese guitar scene for over 15 years. I highly recommend you check out the band she just recently left, Nemophila, and before that Mary's Blood, were this song is from. Saki also played on tons of other projects. Nemophila though is an incredible band with all elite musicians and it sucks she left. The other Nemophila guitarist, Hazuki looks like a librarian, but is an Ibanez endorsed technical wizard. They were a great duo (the band is still active).

@@michaelgabriel2228 I always thought it was a bit lazy for people to describe him as the Japanese EVH when Akira also had his own distinct style and been as influential in the Japanese music scene as EVH was in the East. Nemophila's first show was actually opening up for Loudness. The band has a cover of Loudness' "Crazy Doctor", performed when Saki was still in the band, and earlier this year also did "Crazy Nights" as just a 4 piece. Interestingly enough, Loudness was again their co-headliner when they debuted as a 4 piece lineup live. Both those Loudness covers can be found on Nemo's official YT and worth checking.🤘

You can tell Hana is more rehearsed for playing live to an audience. She occasionally glances down at the fretboard, but for the most part her eyes are engaged with the audience. Saki spent 3/4 of the song hunched over watching her fingers. She doesn’t need to do that, especially on the simple linear scalar stuff (sure it’s fast, but it’s not hard) that she could probably play in her sleep.
@mknm13493 ай бұрын
Saki was visibly nervous and fidgety throughout most of the concert. She's noticeably more relax here at the start of the encore than earlier. In any case I thought her performance went quite well. I especially loved this take on "Marionette" - its better than the original. Regarding Hana: It was clear to me that she played another role - that of an older, supportive big sister. She deserves a lot of credit in making this concert possible.
