Install the good lock 2018 apps from sammobile. You'll get more customisation for the lock screen, always on display, quick access, recents menu etc.

Why nobody is mentioning the "Home screen layout" feature? This is something that is of a considerable importance. Now we can use our Samsung phones with a Home screen only. Some people don't use too many widgets or not use them at all (I only use clock widget and google search bar). So instead of having Home and App screens, I use only Home screen, having my two widgets on the first screen and just sweep right for the rest of the apps. And by the way, I believe that the less widgets you have, the more battery power you save.

I think that goes back to the Galaxy S8 (owned it). I don't know if the S7 had it.

I don't use Samsung for the widgets :) Android has great notification system, which makes the widgets obsolete, if I may use this term. All the info provided by the widgets is given to the user by the notifications at the right time with pop-ups, text and sound.

Thank you so much! Just got. One on release date. Never had an android device. Of course the people that I purchased the unlocked $1300 (unlocked, w insurance) phone from didn't have time to show me how to even turn it on or make a call. Though the time to to talk to me while I was shopping for it was seemingly unfiltered. Upon purchase, there was no help, explanation, even had to drive back to get the rest of the pieces that they'd took out of my box to use for others in the store; all the employees wanted to talk about was the pen. Very disappointed in Best Buy's customer service here in Houston Texas, but this video helped me so much I have to tell you thank you. You have no idea how appreciated this is! Honestly, if you don't need the extra memory, or your phone isn't buggy... I wouldn't upgrade. I wanted a Note not S+ anymore. The phones are so good you can really keep them 2 years now.

I feel this is another beginner's guide....yet again great vid l, if your not used to Samsung experince....if people download good lock 2018 from Samsung store (not play store) and download the one handed mode the can have edge gestures, this is great for going back and opening multitasker just by swiping from edge screen.
