It’s a shame Kishimoto didn’t make the rivals, it works really well because they’re practically foils and seeing them trying to one up each other and using medically ninjutsu and a battle tactic would have been awesome. And It’d be a nice break from Sasuke’s and Naruto’s rivalry.

One was a filler arc, one was a movie, one was litteraly enemy fodder. She should be equally as capable to fight people like they shown in her vs. Sasori fight, but they forgot about her and made her a crybaby damsal all throughout shippuden which I never understood. Underrated, underused, undervalued, wasted potential. But yeah in the filler arcs they made her look great and capable, and likewise especially in the movies. Canon Naruto just hated her I guess.

i know this is 2 months old but i have to say that as a person who watches the anime, even i realized that they change a lot on there. for starters, i read the chapter with naruto communicating with the evil in his heart(jinchuriki training) and there was so much in the manga that wasn't in the anime. THEY ACTUALLY FOUGHT IN THE MANGA! the anime showed absolutely NOTHING in that part. movies are NOT CANNON! you have to note those things when watching. i still like it though.
