(A bit of a backstory: I had gotten my friend casey into this channel a few months before) on the first day of KuroNekoCon 2018(Casey Dean and I were going as homestuck kids) towards the end of the day,we were all sitting by the statue and I look up and see Casey just staring into this lotor cosplayers soul. I was really confused as to what was going on so I look over at the lotor cosplayer and casey says really quietly "Is that uptown?...." I replied with "i think so. You could go ask." Then he looks at me with a face of "f**k no are you crazy?!" And I had never been the kind of person who sees one of their idols and screams, no matter how important they were to me, which doesn't mean you aren't important to me, you really are, I just tend to be more calm when it comes to that type of thing. Casey on the other hand was. Me, being the father of the group who wasn't afraid of social interaction, walks over to this lovely cosplayer, tapped them on the shoulder, and said "Hi there. My extremely awkward friend loves your cosplay but was too scared to say anything so I'm doing it for him" and they said something like "OH there's nothing to be afraid of I'm just a freakishly tall purple nerd" and by the face and the voice I could tell it was uptown so I walk over to the Casey who was silently yelling at me for that, grab his hand, and pull him over to Uptown. He then starts freaking out and collapses so Dean is staring at us like "wtf is happening, what did i miss, why is our child (shes the mother of the group)not breathing correctly?!" so uptown tries to calm Casey down and I don't remember all of that part but I distinctly remember them saying "tree pose child, tree pose". After Casey calms down I walk away to leave the two alone and sit by Dean who looks up from her phone and says "uptown I'm guessing?" "Yep." After a little bit I walk back over there and casey got a picture with then before getting pulled away by one of the people from the Voltron group they were in. I just wanted to say that you made Casey's month and I wanted to thank you for that. He's been going through a lot and meeting you just made him so happy.
