Sakura D4 RWD Set-Up

This is my Sakura D4 RWD set-up. I replaced only the knuckles and front axle for MST. So smooth and enjoyable to drive. It's a simple configuration, no secrets, but runs very well ! Check it !
Parts necessary to perform well:
You need this 2 parts:

Hi, great video ! I watch it almost everyday to set up my D4. But can you please let me know what kind of shock oil you use for front & rear damper ? A saw it Kit Standard 350 but I wonder if I can use the shock oil of Boom Racing which is 35wt instead ( they told that it equivalent to 350cst ). Thank you :) !

Yes, it's tamiya spray. First I use metalic red and after dry, tamiya white and at final, tamiya black.

just fyi....mst knuckle outer bearing is a different size, unless i ordered the wrong knuckles...I was able to use the original axle, it's a tight squeeze but it works

+Hunter Prater My honest opinion: buy Sakura D4. I think it is not worth spending money to convert the Sprint 2, as it is currently difficult to find spare parts for the Sprint 2.

+MrFabrizioPandolfi Hmmmm.... It's hard to answer ! But I think is doripake, because I'm use that for many year and I have "affection" for the DP. Sakura D4 is a new commer with excellent potential. My DP is like a old Toyota AE86 and Sakura D4 ,the new Toyota 86. Sorry to answer too late!

Don't worry Roberto-san. It's never too late. AE86 can still be good even at these days (I remember Tsuchiya's 86 1.8L stroker). I have D4 too, but i also have D3, Himoto (same layout as DoriPake) , and an old RWD car like the D4. I think the same as you, i'm very "afeiçoado" to my Himoto RWD converted. OLD BUT GOLD!

Without gyro it's impossible to run on RWD drift. Set up depends of the gyro brand.

why do you need to upgrrad to MST knuckle?

Because with the normal knuckle is impossible to get a good ackerman. The new Sakura 2017 model change the knuckle and I think now is good.

D4 genuine upper arm is not adjustable. But you can install others parts from others RC parts brand to adjust the upper arm.(Yeah Racing RC parts)

Voltage Cutoff value is completely wrong. It should be 6.4V in your case, but I recommend to set 7.0V - 7.2V to save battery life. Actually you don't want to go lower than 7.4 for LiPo battery.
