Perhaps the Scoopers interview with BABYMETAL? It's from 2010 SG. And in 2011 there's the Nendo Test of course. I also highly recommend the Sakura Gakuin vs Idoling video, and maybe even the Kawaii Girl Japan interview from that year. And then for sure the graduation ceremony to end the 2011 reactions. As for music videos, maybe Message or FLYAWAY from 2010 and definitely Verishuvi from 2011. Great reaction as always!

Yes, their music videos get better, and the best Video (I hope everyone agrees here) and maybe also their best song is heart no hoshi. It's from Moas and Yuis final year, so without Su. But definitely the next I would suggest.

su was definitely the most energetic dancer during her time in SG . she put 110% into everything always ! (you’ll see what i mean once you watch the documentary,) hello ivy is some of my favourite SG choreo and my favourite early song of theirs

The meanest thing is that video where Yui is playing Hello! Ivy on a recorder. That video almost KILLED me. And, yes, MoiMoi cuteness is absolutely the best in the world. Greets from Germany as always!

Yume Ni Mukatte is their 1st song, 1st MV and it was 1st released in their 1st single in 2010. Hello! Ivy and School Days also included in in that single. Yes, Hello Ivy Mv does include a lot of Behind The Scene Footage from Yume Ni Mukatte. I assume they filmed both MVs together due to small budget of a new Idol group at the time. And YES! their MVs got a lot better production later on. Their 1st album was released in April 2011 and included more songs and MVs. Other Mvs are: Sakura Gakuin - "Message" Sakura Gakuin, Twinklestars - "Dear Mr. Socrates" (1st sub-unit a.k.a. club activities) I discovered them through Babymetal. Since I'm not familiar with Idol groups, I had some stereotype view of them from the start. I was expecting something "bubblegum cute" and things like that which sometimes can be rather cringy for me. So, I mentally prepared myself to go through their stuff to get to know the Babymetal members more. But surprisingly, I watched one after the other, and does not felt cringe even once. And in my opinion, Sakura Gakuin is quite brutal at times.😂 In the end, I fell in love with Sakura Gakuin as much as I love Babymetal. 🌸🦊 I'm not familiar with Idol songs so I don't know how often any rock elements and things like that are usually used. But Sakura Gakuin definitely has a lot of J-Rock type song and some what I would consider "borderline Metal song". About where to go next, I would definitely suggest going through the Nendo (I interpret "Nendo" as in a "school term"). Most of what you reacted to so far is from 2010 Nendo. The "Friends" MV was from 2011 Nendo. Each Nendo has different members, new songs, and new Nendo Test videos. I think watching MVs/songs and Nendo Test from each Nendo would be the best route. Of course there are some special videos worth watching as well and we will notify you when it's time. Also, going through the Nendo chronologically is probably the best because of the member changes. If you suddenly jump to, for example, 2019 Nendo, none of the members from this MVs are the there. So, I guess next can be the MVs from the 2010 Nendo (listed above). Unless, if you want to move on to 2011 Nendo, "Verishuvi" MV would be a good start. Anyway, enjoy! 🌸🦊 🌸🦊

Awesome!! Can't wait to get through more years. Might take a bit but happy to do so

Nendo refers to the school year which starts on 1 April and ends on 31st March of the following yesr. So the 2011 nendo starts on 1st April 2011 and ends on 31st March 2012. This can cause confusion as the start and end years are different. The nendo is named after the start year. This is why you see the graduation ceremonies for a nendo year around March of the following year. Shows, Videos, etc. produced in the first 3 months of a year belong to the previous nendo year. All the kids in each year have their birthday sometime within the nendo, which determines their class level, so they can be up to a year apart in actual birth age in each class. So when we hear they graduate at 15, this means at the end of the nendo in which they have their 15th birthday - not the actual birthday (Some that have their birthday at the start of the nendo can be almost 16 when they graduate). I hope this clarifies things for you and does not confuse you further :)

Like most people, I found out about SG through babymetal and at first I was only interested in content related to the girls from BM, it took me a long time to start watching content from the following years of SG and I totally loved it, I realized that year after year SG was improving in every way, the choreographies became more complex, I liked the songs more, the shows, skits, videos and all the content simply improved in quality, and of course year after year you get attached to the girls who arrive and you suffer with the ones who leave 💕 Currently I listen to many more SG songs than babymetal, which is a bit strange since I have always listened to metal music 😅

As always, thank you BabyMetal for introducing me to Sakura Gakuin, i fell in love with this group + Mori Sensei, both of this MV and Nendo Test attracted me to become their fukei although i became one after they disbanded 3 yrs ago I really hope all of the graduates hold a reunion shows sooner or later 👍 9:26 yes, buddy.. This MV was shot as a backstage footage of Yume Ni Mukatte, so this group eventually has 2 MVs for one setting.

🌸 🏫 The MONO COMME ÇA company designed the Sakura Gakuin uniforms. The Sakura Gakuin song 'Hello Ivy' is a tie-in to their Ivy Comme Ça sub-brand. That Ivy/preppy style with blazers and plaid skirts was very popular in Japan, and is still used for a lot of school uniforms. It's much more popular these days than the older style sailor uniforms. Yes, they definitely had bigger budgets and more production on later music videos, but these early ones have a lot of charm.

😁😁😁Hello dear friend, as far as 2010 is concerned, the last thing you need to see is: SAKURA GAKUIN - MOTTEKE SAILOR FUKU. It's from the SG 2010 festival, and you should see it!! because that is where the legend of the WHITE T-SHIRT GUY aka KITSUNE ZERO originates. It's great to see the girls doing that cover in DANCE rhythm, giving 200% of themselves. Believe me, you won't be disappointed. Greetings!!🏵🏵🏵🏵 🦊🦊🦊

Good stuff! Always good to watch some SG goodness. I found them in 2020 shortly after Babymetal found me. I had to see what all the fuss was about and I am glad I did. Don't forget the nendo tests!

Since you like Ayami Mutuo a lot, sometime you could check out some of her songs from her solo career. Again, Again is my personal favorite. She's also a drummer at times.
