Isn’t seeking enlightenment/buddhahood inherently selfish? Isn’t it more meaningful to be a bodhisattva and continue to help sentient being. Also is it really solidly established that animals cannot achieve bodhichitta?I mean they are sentient too, so many clips of animals on KZbin showing extreme compassion to other animals. I am glad you are trying to make these dense philosophy more approachable. I think a lot of people are turned off by how esoteric these concepts are and settle for being nominal/cultural Buddhist (not sure if that’s the right way to put it).
