OH isnt factored for HS. only MH will use it. slower OH = greater benefit from flurry. Once you get that geared you arent worried about using an OH to generate rage.

​@@Resp1ra OH isn't factored into HS dmg, but if your OH hits while your HS is queued it gains the same hit chance so it's a big factor in gaining dps (less misses) and smoothing out rage gen. You definitely use your OH to generate rage so you can have as high HS uptime as possible as you're not gaining rage on HS hits. I was just wondering why he goes longsword/longsword as the swift blade usually sims higher. It could just be for flurry though, like you said.

@@pabz04 yeah I'd guess that he isn't close to ever rage starved so he can take the rage hit for the bigger benefit from flurry. Considering higher oh damage would gen more rage. Would be interesting to see how it affects flury uptime,but with over 40% crit, I'm sure that's not an issue either.

Why do you swap bind on Cleave and HS constanty when you already have both bound on other buttons too? Saw that you didnt change back to cleave after firemaw so you were not cleaving on those few groups. Am I missing something? It seems a bit inconvenient.

I really like to have heroic strike/cleave binded to mouse scroll wheel up and down so I try to change my bind between bosses and trash (I did fail sometimes in this run like after firemaw like you point out). In my last run I diddent fail swapping it (kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHqsYoJmadhmptE) but yeah if I ever find some bind I can spam similar to scrollwheel for ensuring that I dont get any misses between my MH and OH landing I will swap one of the binds :)

Very short breaks between each pull so forgot to swap to it in time. Was going to use swap after vael but forgot. Flurry uptime is significantly lower with swiftblade offhand. Around 45% crit but its still much better with slow offhand because fast OH just eats flurry stacks + rng

Chrom main 2,6 speed to hit higher HS and Cleaves, tbf if you took a db x2 it would be ideal, edgemasters are a small dps gain unless your play furyprot

Curious as to why I see so many top warriors using heroic strike. In my guild I'm usually one of the top 3 warriors, but most of my damage is coming from bt/execute/we in that order. I'm using brut and cht, so it would be nice to get your feedback. Am I doing something wrong or is it just a difference in gear and skill as araid?

If you que heroic strike you ignore the hit penalty on whitehits, is my understanding.

Viktor is correct. Heroic strikes turn your white hits into yellows. This also applies to your off-hand hits as well, even if you just have HS queued up. Keep in mind these guys have full world buffs as well so they're all rocking around 45%+ crit and monstrous amounts of AP. This means that they're almost never starved for rage, allowing for far more HS uptime than you'd have in your average raid environment.

with gear and buffs you have rage to use heroic strike close to 100% of the time plus BT, execute, WW so why not use both? Also heroic strike makes you get 0% miss on MH and 0% miss on offhand and increases your crit cap

I know what you mean, I'm 4th tank in my guild, so I'm little more than a glorified dps for most fights. Without good rng on HoJ/ WF/ crits, I don't have enough rage to use HS as much as the pure dps warriors. Because of that I tend to cancel HS before it goes off so I keep enough rage for BT. Even if you're in my situation and have to cancel it, you should try and keep it queue'd as much as possible because having HS queued up makes your offhand inherit your main hands hit chance, i.e. 6% with wep skill or 9% without.

ignite in vanilla works such that the first mage to crit gets all the damage from the ignite (3mages with elemental spec + fire vuln on chrom). Unfortunatly we got timelaps and no BOP/LIP so he dies very early
