Ah so that's how your Salad here he's the Prototype Cell. Gohan and Salad can become good friends with how close there age is, and also they could develop a friendly rivalry between each other to push each other. Gohan and Piccolo will definitely be way stronger having Salad train with them. Anyways a good start to this series, and looking forward to the next part soon.

I like treating him as more of a Frankenstein’s monster type situation, instead of just throwing yourself into Dragon Ball. That could definitely be interesting, as proven by others, but I like this approach well enough too.

I assume that Gero would likely view the "Short game" version of the Bio-Android project as a failed method and go back to the drawing board. He likely would look at the good that Project Salad could do if refined, and combine it with his mechanical androids to make the "Perfect" Hybrid. Biomechanical and Mechanical united. Therefore he would come up with the idea of Cell, solving the problems with Salad, and also he would likely make sure that the DNA of Cell is moreso Vegeta, Nappa, Raditz, Frieza and King Cold DNA rather than the earthlings and good guys. As part of the idea for Cell being the perfect hybrid, and as a way to keep cell in check unlike Salad, he would make it so Cell requires Androids 17 and 18, Gero using the two as leverage in his mind (him not realizing that 17 and 18 would be the ones to kill him). And one final step to his refinement of the bio-android project would be to make it so the creation of the android takes a far longer time than Salad. This is in order to gather the best and strongest DNA to make the android out of, and also pretty much constantly brainwash the android into the goal Gero wants him to do.

so instead of using your own personal life, you inserted a fan-fiction Character of your own, that's a unique take on the (what if ME was in DBZ), and I like it. the story also goes with DB logic, most Gero's experiments are flawed, especially in the (controlling them) department, and he was working for too long, must have had some bio androids before that etc.... so this is actually a genius idea. what would amaze me is if you give him a unique attack or two, something that would fit Dragon Ball, but still his own.
