For your Kind information, below I have given you some of the information about Brian Lara's Greatness in Test Cricket and Sachin cannot even match him, forget about comparing. One thing I want to clarify is that even I agree that Sachin is great player that India has even seen but question is if he is compared with Brian Lara, then his is not the winner. I am not critisizing anyone, if someone else is greater than sachin, we have to accept it and that is the quality of a REAL INDIAN, not just praising self and insulting others. Anyway.... 1. Brian Lara innings is tests features 213 vs Australia - high quality bowling - please remember, just before this innings, windies were bowled out for 51 and lost 5-0 to SA. Lara clearly said in presentation that he got out on 64 run out and said that small 50's are not enough, I need to score a huge hundred and guess what, even in the next test match also windies were 7/4, when lara single handedly beaten australia....This innings ranked as within 10 innings of wisden test innings ever.... Remember single handedly..... and that too dominating the bowling... that is the feature of his batting 2.. Very next match again westindies chasing 300+ and 95/5 - lara single handedly played an innings of 153* vs australia, this is the best innings that a player played in last 40 years.... forget sachin, no one played an innings like that.... ranked as 2nd best ever innings by any player in entire cricket history.... 3. Sachin Toured Sri lanka to play tests for over I guess at least 8 + times and he has a good knowledge of pitches in sri lanka and yet he clearly failed to play muralitharan and failed to dominate him, great player feature is to dominate bowling, not just score a hundred. Even sachin toured sri lanka for over 8+ times, still he cannot dominate murali on those turning tracks..... Now Lara, before lara's sri lankas tour in 2001, he toured sri lanka only 1 time in 1995, 6 years back..... before even lara entered sri lanka, he gave a press statement, saying, I will score big runs against murali..... in just 3 test matches lara scored 688 runs, almost 700 runs, its a record in cricket histroy.. in 3 tests..... muralitharan was at his peak but he cannot stop lara from dominating him..... all westindies team fell like cards 4/4 - 20/4 ... this was the score.... but lara not just scored runs, he dominated..... murali and demolished him..like no other....... And the stroke play of lara in that series was sky high, no sachin, no pointing can even match that spin playing stroke play.... in entire career of sachin.... in 200 tests he cannot do it.... 4. You mentioned, about 400 - well I never said that 400 was a greatest innings, its just a good innings... also windies would have won that game... I guess you dont follow the match properly.... after lara 400, england bowled out for 200 odd in 1st innnings.... and still another 2 days left.... any other team in the world can easily beat moderate england batting when they have 2 days time, windies bowling is so poor that they cannot get england out even if they have almost 2 days time.... so what Lara did here... tell me ? Its bowlers who need to take wickets and whole world knows that windies bowling is worst in the world....It is a wrong opinion of people who do not follow cricket and simply says that Lara score 400 and match drawn, that is not the fact... see iam chappel comment on australians on this issue in youtube... 5. In Lara's 132 Tests - Lara has 19+ scores of over 150+ in tests ? How many Sachin has, in exact no. of tests say 132... at 132 test matches how many scores sachin had over 150+ scores... in tests... can you explain, I guess not even 10 or 11.... Please remember that Lara has all this alone, without any support, whole world knows that windies is worst team in the world, exception of Great Lara... 6. Sachin played over 200+ test Matches, oh... what an great number... unbelieveable isn't it ???? ok let me ask you guys a simple question. Since Sachin is a part of many many many test series all over the world, now, my question is how many times in a test series Sachin has scored over 500+ runs in a single test series in his entire career, can you answer ??? I will answer --- I guess only 1 time or may be 2 times... in his entire 200 test match career..... Now Lara - remember with a worst team like windies, still he managed to score in just 132 test matches --- scores over 500+ runs in a test series - over 6 times.... 7. During period 1996-1999 mid, Lara focus was not on the game at all, and hardly scored runs, Lara himself said in interview, its on youtube..... even then Lara's record is better than sachin... Sachin took 15+ innings to cross lara's test runs of 11953, ...... 15 innings is a lot, Lara can get another 1500 runs in those 15 innings...... So please note that sachin did not break laras test runs tally... he crossed it by playing more games.... remember ??? with a team like india, he had all support of all great players in india, despite he failed.... 8. I heard Saurav ganguly saying on commentary that Sachin is a greatest Aussie basher, means he is the greatest player who dominated australia because he got 10 or 11 test hundreds against australia.... what a pity... people in the commentary box should be honest to their job.... what a pity...... Lara has 9 test hundreds against australia.... out of which 3 double hundreds, 2 in australia and 1 in windies .... also features those greatest test innings of 213 and 153 .... with australia had a full strenght bowling attack... Sachin never played an innings of lara like 213 and 153.... which btw ended up as match wining for windies....... After Lara Retired.... sachin toured Australia.... for 2-3 more times for tests, then he scored additional 3-4 test hunderds and increased this tally to 10 or 11 etc.. vs australia..... as a commentator, if ganguly compares players, the should compare only upto the time of lara retirement ... then compare the record vs australia.... Again, I will say it... all this Lara did it alone..... with a worst team like windies.... remember.... dont count gayle etc... in tests they are waste.... 9. I have seen many lara innings in tests where score is say 250 - lara himself had 175 out of those.... Even in laras 226 vs australia .... when lara had 226.. the next batsmen in linup score is 52.... I mentioned this is because to tell you guys what support lara had at the other end.... nothing for entire career, not just 1 match..... even then a team like australia cannot stop the run rate when lara at crease...... Now can great sachin fans, give me example of a innings of sachin, where he himself scored heavily and next batsmen score is not even 50.... please do not give 1 innings example, did he did it for entire career..... no no no..... but Lara did it..... he is the only player who had huge huge scores, unfortunately on a loosing side... because windies cannot take 20 wickets....as mentioned above lara had over 19+ 150 scores... most of them windies should have easily won, but unfortunately windiws cannot take 20 wickets to win a tst match. 10. I can give you 100's of examples of Lara, but lets keep, battings runs, records a side... only talk about batting skill and stroke play.... If you see videos of sachin say an innings in 1996 or 1998 or 2002 or 2006 any innings, you will see very similar stroke play from sachin... same trademark straight drive, same leg side flick, same pull shot, same cover drive.... 1000% i can bet that there is no difference in those shots... its always very same.... Now Lara, every single innings, in every single match.... when he bats, he shows you something new...... any real cricket knowledge person will understand this... play lara videos from 1995, 1999, 2001 or famous 176 vs SA any match, each and every stroke is entirely Unique and different than any of his innings, its all innovation, skill, variety.... you name it....... this is a real genius..... as a spectator, I prefer an innovation than always follow a text book, Lara clearly beats sachin in stroke play..... no comparison in fact.... 11. Now, Spin playing ability, whole world accepts that Lara is far more superior than sachin when it comes to spin playing ability... the way lara plays spin bowling, sweeps, cheeky cuts, domination, sachin is in no match at all.... anyone who has cricket knowledge or watch both of them playing spin in youtube, will know that....Please dont give silly examples that Lara got out so cheaply again 1 particular spin etc, I can also give sachin got out so cheaply to ray price 2 times lbw in a single match...any many such examples... so when compariing please compare for overall career and then give judgement.... 12. Now talking about Selfishness... I don't have to prove that Sachin is selfish, he himself proved it....In a test series in south africa....in a media, Sachin himself said ... I repeat, Sachin himself said in media.... that Sunil Gavaskar told me not to retire before getting 15000 test runs... at that time sachin had around 10000 runs or so.... never seen such as selfish player in entire cricket history......When lara retired he just scored close to 500 tst runs in pakistan and fully fit... yet he retired, yes I agree that he had issues with board... but anyway he would have retired after more 2 series after all.......

Fact is that Sachin Opened the ODI innings for more than 340+ times, I repeat 340+ times just as opener he played... and at no. 3 another 20 odd innings i guess.... may be little less..... If any one has to comment on Sachin Tendulkar i request them to watch his game then comment on him. He mostly got out when he experiment with new shots in the game. And if any one who is younger than him he praises them. I can't he is great but I would say he is modest cricketer. And he loves to play the game. He can bat, he can bowl both spin & medium pace,and he can do fielding well. The only thing I'm not sure about him is wicket keeping. please do not consider him to god 'cause he will feel as blame to him.

For your Kind information, below I have given you some of the information about Brian Lara's Greatness in Test Cricket and Sachin cannot even match him, forget about comparing. One thing I want to clarify is that even I agree that Sachin is great player that India has even seen but question is if he is compared with Brian Lara, then his is not the winner. He is just behind Brian Lara. Here is the reality, I guess you don't know cricket really well. I have seen all 34 test hundreds of brian lara and also almost 44 test hundreds of Sachin. I listened to every commentator, every analysis simply because I am a fan of both of them, not just Lara. Why BC.Lara is way way better than sachin in tests, please read this and if possible accept reality. I am not critisizing anyone, if someone else is greater than sachin, we have to accept it and that is the quality of a REAL INDIAN, not just praising self and insulting others. Anyway.... 1. Brian Lara innings is tests features 213 vs Australia - high quality bowling - please remember, just before this innings, windies were bowled out for 51 and lost 5-0 to SA. Lara clearly said in presentation that he got out on 64 run out and said that small 50's are not enough, I need to score a huge hundred and guess what, even in the next test match also windies were 7/4, when lara single handedly beaten australia....This innings ranked as within 10 innings of wisden test innings ever.... Remember single handedly..... and that too dominating the bowling... that is the feature of his batting 2.. Very next match again westindies chasing 300+ and 95/5 - lara single handedly played an innings of 153* vs australia, this is the best innings that a player played in last 40 years.... forget sachin, no one played an innings like that.... ranked as 2nd best ever innings by any player in entire cricket history.... 3. Sachin Toured Sri lanka to play tests for over I guess at least 8 + times and he has a good knowledge of pitches in sri lanka and yet he clearly failed to play muralitharan and failed to dominate him, great player feature is to dominate bowling, not just score a hundred. Even sachin toured sri lanka for over 8+ times, still he cannot dominate murali on those turning tracks..... Now Lara, before lara's sri lankas tour in 2001, he toured sri lanka only 1 time in 1995, 6 years back..... before even lara entered sri lanka, he gave a press statement, saying, I will score big runs against murali..... in just 3 test matches lara scored 688 runs, almost 700 runs, its a record in cricket histroy.. in 3 tests..... muralitharan was at his peak but he cannot stop lara from dominating him..... all westindies team fell like cards 4/4 - 20/4 ... this was the score.... but lara not just scored runs, he dominated..... murali and demolished him..like no other....... And the stroke play of lara in that series was sky high, no sachin, no pointing can even match that spin playing stroke play.... in entire career of sachin.... in 200 tests he cannot do it.... 4. You mentioned, about 400 - well I never said that 400 was a greatest innings, its just a good innings... also windies would have won that game... I guess you dont follow the match properly.... after lara 400, england bowled out for 200 odd in 1st innnings.... and still another 2 days left.... any other team in the world can easily beat moderate england batting when they have 2 days time, windies bowling is so poor that they cannot get england out even if they have almost 2 days time.... so what Lara did here... tell me ? In Lara's 132 Tests - Lara has 19+ scores of over 150+ in tests ? How many Sachin has, in exact no. of tests say 132... at 132 test matches how many scores sachin had over 150+ scores... in tests... can you explain, I guess not even 10 or 11.... Please remember that Lara has all this alone, without any support, whole world knows that windies is worst team in the world, exception of Great Lara... 6. Sachin played over 200+ test Matches, oh... what an great number... unbelieveable isn't it ???? ok let me ask you guys a simple question. Since Sachin is a part of many many many test series all over the world, now, my question is how many times in a test series Sachin has scored over 500+ runs in a single test series in his entire career, can you answer ??? I will answer --- I guess only 1 time or may be 2 times... in his entire 200 test match career..... Now Lara - remember with a worst team like windies, still he managed to score in just 132 test matches --- scores over 500+ runs in a test series - over 6 times.... 7. During period 1996-1999 mid, Lara focus was not on the game at all, and hardly scored runs, Lara himself said in interview, its on youtube..... even then Lara's record is better than sachin... Sachin took 15+ innings to cross lara's test runs of 11953, ...... 15 innings is a lot, Lara can get another 1500 runs in those 15 innings...... So please note that sachin did not break laras test runs tally... he crossed it by playing more games.... remember ??? with a team like india, he had all support of all great players in india, despite he failed.... 8. I heard Saurav ganguly saying on commentary that Sachin is a greatest Aussie basher, means he is the greatest player who dominated australia because he got 10 or 11 test hundreds against australia.... what a pity... people in the commentary box should be honest to their job.... what a pity...... Lara has 9 test hundreds against australia.... out of which 3 double hundreds, 2 in australia and 1 in windies .... also features those greatest test innings of 213 and 153 .... with australia had a full strenght bowling attack... Sachin never played an innings of lara like 213 and 153.... which btw ended up as match wining for windies....... After Lara Retired.... sachin toured Australia.... for 2-3 more times for tests, then he scored additional 3-4 test hunderds and increased this tally to 10 or 11 etc.. vs australia..... as a commentator, if ganguly compares players, the should compare only upto the time of lara retirement ... then compare the record vs australia.... Again, I will say it... all this Lara did it alone..... with a worst team like windies.... remember.... dont count gayle etc... in tests they are waste.... 9. I have seen many lara innings in tests where score is say 250 - lara himself had 175 out of those.... Even in laras 226 vs australia .... when lara had 226.. the next batsmen in linup score is 52.... I mentioned this is because to tell you guys what support lara had at the other end.... nothing for entire career, not just 1 match..... even then a team like australia cannot stop the run rate when lara at crease...... Now can great sachin fans, give me example of a innings of sachin, where he himself scored heavily and next batsmen score is not even 50.... please do not give 1 innings example, did he did it for entire career..... no no no..... but Lara did it..... he is the only player who had huge huge scores, unfortunately on a loosing side... because windies cannot take 20 wickets....as mentioned above lara had over 19+ 150 scores... most of them windies should have easily won, but unfortunately windiws cannot take 20 wickets to win a tst match. 10.
