I know everyone is cursing Khalid but based on Salama’s childhood trauma, you can tell she wasn’t an easy person to live with. She entered the marriage with so much wounds and trauma, and as we all know, marriage comes with its own challenges. It wasn’t easy for to carry out the responsibility of home and kids with the a huge baggage she carried from her childhood. I feel like both Khalid and Salama were the victims of wounds and trauma and depression that has never healed. I pray they both find happiness.

Well done Salama for agreeing to share this video and helping to create mental health awareness. Although it's sad about Salama and Khalid, signs were obvious for a while. A supposedly funny video where they constantly dissed each other, felt a too uncomfortable. Around the same time Khalid undertook a fitness regime, lost weight, was travelling the world (always seemed to be without his family), increased the videos he'd put out, never mentioned Salama and generally gave the impression he's having the time of his life..... or was in denial. Whatever happened between them I hope Khalid never forgets how much Salama supported, believed and encouraged him to get to where he is today (He's admitted so in their earlier videos). But above all he should always remember Salama is the mother of his children. Wishing both well in their new future.

This was tough to watch. The pain and sadness in Salama’s eyes tell a whole story. I felt that this was an exploitive opportunity to get the inside scoop into her divorce. Whether or not she signed up for this herself, I think it’s enough to know that she’s suffered a lot. I would have loved to see more of ways that allowed her to be comfortable and more safe in the space to feel vulnerable. Many times you see she wants to break down but she’s holding it together for so long because that’s all she can do to protect herself from all the pain she’s gone through. Many people like this suffer so deeply inside and are misunderstood. May Allah ease her affairs and grant her someone that brings her safety.

One thing I want to say - Women, after pouring efforts, energy, love, faith into a relationship are left with wounds upon being cheated on and men leave rather escape easily. Cheating does feel like an abandonment, the worst betrayal. I am no one to judge anyone of them, but I will still, because it is visible that he jumped to a new relationship as soon as he left, perhaps he was involved with her much before. Which means he was Cheating. And we can judge sinners. And who did he cheat on with? An actress that no body knows about in India. I am a south indian and i dont know who tf she is. I am a hindu and its fine that he married a hindu women meaning he respects religion and people can have mixed feelings about this decision but people are divided over this religion debate yet united while hating on him. This is sad and I do agree he needs to be criticized as a public figure if he cheated on his wife. However, calling the new lady trash because she was born into a particular religion is what makes me terrified, whether this man can wed a polytheist woman or not, what was the need to dehumanize a whole group because the other woman happened to be born into it? I respect Islam as a religion but these comments and videos targeting her religion caught me off guard. That's the one thing I wasn't expecting to see when I came here to learn more about what happened with this couple who I admired.
