I've cleared all of Salamander 2, and I have a few words to say. It is taking too many missiles for power up. If you make it a two-stage (2-way), that's fine. Please ignore the "M". There were many places in the 4 stages where you could improve your score by destroying them, but forgetting to destroy them was noticeable. In one stage, you can increase your score by defeating the golem as soon as possible.

so this is Life Force II! I wonder why it didn't come over here in the US. It looks awesome, and Life Force became easier the more I played it, and it doesn't cheat you like the R-Type. BTW you're great at this Game. What Difficulties does the Game have?

It took you until halfway through the second loop to use the option bombs? The game throws so many option pick-ups at you that you can use option bombs all the time and be okay.

this game play smoothly in MAME32 Plus! Plus! 0.119 however there are background transparent glitches in stage 3 and incorrect Vic Viper sprite. Well this is easily solved by using player 2 ship and stage 3 still playable

The graphics of SNES and MAME looked so much better than these absolute ugly lowest-detail early 3D games beginning mid 90ies. I wish there are more remakes from the superb Nemesis (also known as Gradius/Salamander) and R-Type series like R-Type Dimensions EX.

The thing is, this is the ONLY final boss in mainline Gradius series that actually fight you back. There's final boss Nemesis 2 MSX and Gradius II on gameboy that attack you back but not as scary as this.
