Salamanders vs Raven Guard Warhammer 40k Battle Report | Monday Knight Matchup

In this Warhammer 40k Battle report we have NKG Justin playing Raven Guard against NKG Claudio's Salamanders! This is before the balance sheet so no Armour of Contempt and Salamanders do not have no rerolls to wound against them but it shouldn't change that much and it's still an intense game played by two professionals!

Justin used AK Interactive Rough Texture paint Painted Steel Legion Drab, washed with Agrax Earthshade, dry brush with Steel Legion Drab, Baneblade Brown and a Screaming Skull Grass is PVA glue and GW grass and the step he finds the most important is a matte or satin spray varnish, he recommends Munitorum Varnish from GW all on a 40mm base!

I dont think either of the players are necessarilly terrible but I think his choice of faction was the key to his victory. I don't think Claudio could have won with the Raven Guard list.....sometimes, the game is decided before a model hits the table top.

On the other hand it was 3 points and as Claudio said, he made one fatal mistake. Would he let his Librarian live the game could go completely around. I think that at the end of the day, most of the games, no matter genre and platform, are 80 % skill based. Only on the highest of levels meta is actually important, other than that its skill & experience over what one has.

Well, i think Raven Guard isn't so hot. Most competitive players rate the faction in the lower end for Astartes.....how unfortunate.
