Most sweet Abhogi sung by Ali Brothers . I owned this LP , other than Abhogi , it has sweet thumri either Kehrwa , na hi parre mohe chain or Mishra Kkhmaj , laage to se nain . ❤ Thanks for uploading .

I recall that my father bought the LP of this rendition of abhogi in the mid 60s. If my memory gets me right , the reverse of this LP had the brothers singing raag gavati. Raag abhogi is an exceedingly popular and commonly sung raag in carnatic music concerts. This was probably one of the earliest hindustani music renditions of this pentatonic raag.The LP listed it as abhogi kaanada. Also , interestingly our Laxmikant and Pyarelal composed a beautiful a small piece in abhogi for the film sau saal baad : jiya naahi laage ka karoon sajna sung superbly by lata didi as only she could have.

Yes you are right. The LP mentions the name as Abhogi Kanada. Prior to this, Kirana Gharana artists, Abdul Karim Khan, Gangubai Hangal & Bhimsen Joshi had recorded this raag.

In 80's Sharjah UAE , a friend of mine had a cassette recordings shop . In one LP I found this song and I got copied. It was third song on LP but nothing was written neither on LP nor on its cover . ( Jeea na ei laage ka karon sajna , Tum bin soona laage angna . . . baaje na more paoon mein kangna .)

This rag I hope is Abhogi kannada and not Abhogi

You are right. The LP record mentions this as Abhogi Kanada. My reasoning has been that since every rendition / recording of Abhogi uses the 'kanada-ang' of g-m-R-S as the default 'ang', just the nomenclature of 'Abhogi' should suffice. Open to corrections in my thought-process.
