Muslims, work on improving your credit and save your money! I was able to purchase a vehicle on 0% interest for fixed monthly payments, and no late fees (late payments did impact my credit score). Make sure you are actually able to make your monthly payments though, otherwise it’s better to save and pay cash and get a used vehicle that is near new.

Interesting video. While I agree with the practical example provided, I don’t understand the evidences from the sunnah, except the farming example made sense. Sheikh yq should have said collateral instead of mortgage when referring to the armor of the prophet saw. May allah swt forgive us and our excess-the prophet saw didn’t even have enough money to purchase food, yet we complain! Subhanallah.

Jazak Allah khair Shaikh for a a very useful reminder on our day to day transaction related matter. only query how to address if the APR document mentions or status certain % e.g the APR is x amount for duration on x at rate of 7%. it this acceptable to sign such document or we ask to remove the % part.

strictly adhere to Sunnah, else one would go astray thinking finding any thing which seems good will be a good deed. Thats is why Salafi scholars are strict in these issues. if we start asking what is the evidence for a salathul Shukr being a bidah, a layman might be caught by the shaithan by showing every deed he might think is good will be a sunnah

This may happen other way around as well. A lay man might be discouraged to do good things fearing that s/he is doing bida. So the sheikhs emphasis on understanding the term 'Bida' is very important.

@@mksiddiki In subcontinent, people generally think one must pray sunnah mu'aqqadah, so many of them never leave any (But the idea is incorrect). While in salafi dominant areas, they understand it is recommended but not necessary, so many people leave most of sunnah prayers including witr. You see the irony here, right?
