The 3 brake system upgrades for a 99-04 were Alcon, Brembo, and AP Racing. The Saleen heat extractor was an option on the NA or supercharged version. The S281 Cobra can’t remember if the 99 and 01 got a heat extractor or retained the ford hood. The 03-04 S281 Cobras retained the ford hood. The 02-04 S281 Extreme also got their own unique hood.

You're very knowledgable of Saleen Mustangs. I have an almost brand new (5K) Saleen 2003 s281SC convertible that is garage kept. I Love this car. Looks almost like yours, except mine is Gray. I Wished it was a R-Cobra. 1 in 29 makes for a difficult find. I didn't know the differences until I saw your video. I'm not crazy about the s281 badges on both front fenders, they seem to be deteriorating. Sees very little sun. Not sure why. Have you noticed?

Yes, that happens a lot. Saleen parts were not always the best quality and need to be replaced a bit.

if it has a nice set of wheels and is lowered or at least lowered on stock wheels with some tint I can see it being pretty close but there's no question in my opinion the saline looks better stock for stock they also handle better they did make 0304 Terminator Saleen they are just very rare as are all Saleen cobras they made them between 1996 and 2004 they were simply cobras that were turned into saleen's versus the GT like on most saleen's. the cobra ones had a cobra driveline cobra interior and had saleen exterior mods brakes and suspension imo it's the perfect storm

Yeah that is pretty crazy lol...I really like the mach 1 style but more so lowered 2 inches with wide 17s or 18s. I think the terminator is amazing looking but the saleen barely edges it out in terms of looks on the exterior I would like to have a black 04 saleen cobra...they have the interior and driveline of a terminator with the exterior looks breaking and handling of the saleen...amazing cars but super rare

I've had to call out a few "clones" at shows before, I understand that the parts are available from Saleen to basically build your own, but I do take issue when someone tries to pass off a clone as an actual Saleen. The sad part is that most judges at Mustang/Shelby shows don't know how to distinguish a clone from the real thing. I've had this happen with my 2 Saleens, #89-699 Black hatchback and #95-099 Laser Red S-351 coupe, great cars, both of them.

in 99-00 they had the m90 blower and 350 horses they had the saleen series 4 supercharger in 03-04 they had 375 hp. not sure ebout 01-02 they were eithee like one of those 2 above or slightly diff than both. I'm thinking they had 365 hp.

The motor is no different on the S281(my car) vs a GT other than Saleen underdrive pullies. The S281SC's have a supercharger on top of the stock GT motor.

Or buy 1 of the rare 03/04 saleen cobras only 13 were produced i believe but they are awesome cars saleen started off with the terminator cobra which is already a perfect car that is way ahead of it's time and they upgraded it a lot of people don't want to admit the saleen cobras were superior to the regular cobras maybe because they don't want the saleen version to steal the limelight the facts are yes the Saleen/Cobra was a lot better but at the same time it kind of wasn't better overall the reason i say that is due to it costing more than double the price of a regular terminator you could buy a cobra and upgrade it yourself for way less money mainly if you were one of the lucky people to get 1 of the 13 ever made you got a highly collectable car that will only become more valuable as time goes on in the next 20 years I bet they will triple in value for me it Would be very cool to own 1 of them only a select few would have the opportunity and a ford cobra would be a lot more practical and the same amount fun all of the saleen mustang are overpriced for what they offer the base s821 cost more than a cobra did brand new and the cobra was all around better and faster as the base models were basically just tuned gt's i think they only had 285 horses owning a saleen is more about the name for sure both the svt cobras and saleen stangs are equally as cool in their own way and it comes down to what the person would prefer

ffs. that is a spoiler. not a wing. a wing would allow air to flow under and above it. a spoiler like the one on this car does not allow air to flow under the spoiler between the trunk lid and the bottom of the spoiler because it does not have a gap and is connected to the trunk lid. i know that is a simple and somewhat dumb thing to point out but if you're going to post videos like this on the internet and claim to to have any idea what ur talking about then understanding the very basics is a good start. cool car though. that body style mustang was never my favorite. the interior on these are so basic it feels like the cheapest car ever sitting in any trim package imo
