You gotta watch this! it's SO worth the watch, the trailer does make it look SO cheesy but the more you watch the more you get into it, the better it gets, i was hooked after 3 episodes, it's quite scary and really gory too lol there are moments i thought id shit myself haha xD it's like a psycological horror i guess, there are moments where you think something is gonna jump out at you and sometimes it does, every time i'm on the edge of my seat like "Don't look... don't look... okie are you ready for this?" lol bloody best story iv'e ever seen on Salem because instead of it just being about the fact The Salem Witch Trials were about how humans back then were just freaked out about Medical Research coming out of the closet and seeing it as magic because they were taught such things weren't possible, it's based on the idea that witched DID actually exist in Salem and wanted to take over Salem, it's bloody amazing, this trailer doesn't do it justice.

This series is very much worthy to watch...just like I started watching...but now I’m addicted to it...I always likes periodic and horror genre. This is the combination of both. Unfortunately Netflix has removed Season 1 before I could finish. So few of the episodes I’ve to watch online.

It's because George Sibley is the stereotypical witch hunter of the time who used the influence he had for power, he didn't put people in the stocks or accused people of being witches because they were but just because he's a bastard lol he loves tormenting and torturing people but trust me when i say it's short lived and the guy in the stocks he's pushing down is Issac but it will all make sense, this traumatizing experience moved into some excellent character development, watch it, it will make sense. The first season is actually quite scary, mostly the moments when Mercy is being possessed.

Au bout d’un moment dans Salem, il y a une chose que je ne supportais plus, ceux sont les pleurnicheries incessantes de Mary Sibley, d’ailleurs à chaque plan elle pleure ! … C’est abuser et ça rend le personnage de Mary Sibley peu crédible et agaçant. Dans certaine scène, je veux bien le comprendre, mais, lorsque c’est en permanence, cela devient du n’importe quoi !

No... i don't think the trailer does the show justice at all... the trailer just made me unsure but it's not clique in the slightest because they run with the idea that witches WERE actually in Salem and they exist, that they want to take over and they go quite deep into witch myths and artifacts, i had to watch to see what it was all about, then i was hooked after 3 episodes haha.

that's absurd. how many hours of my irreplaceable life spent for what? to find out it's as bad as it looks in the trailer? even if it was the best thing I'd ever seen it's still a horrible waste of life. you do not, in any way, need to watch a whole series to judge the quality of a shows writing, cinematography, direction, production or acting. that's asinine.

Simply when you think of sitting in front of tv...whether it's a good or bad tv show that's a waste of life. You probably like modern tv shows that's full of technology..just like marvel. I'm sick of it I like mid-Victorian age tv shows. So in the end it's a matter of taste, but Penny Dreadful is a well done tv show.
