Salem Tips and Tricks

Pretty solid advice. I have been there several times myself. I live about an hour away from Salem, and go occasionally. Some more pro tips. The Peabody Essex Museum, is the best attraction in town and has little to do with witches (but yes the witch stuff is fun) If you are from outside the area and going to Boston for a vacation and want to spend a day in Salem, take the commuter rail into town DO NOT DRIVE! The train takes you one block from the touristy part of town And even though you touched upon thus Do not go in October. It will be crowded, there will be long lines for everything and prices may be jacked up. Parking is also a problem in October, get there early in the day if you want to drive in or don’t bother going. Also drubpving in the touristy part of Salem is generally not a good idea - just go straight to the parking garage. One final note, the House of the Seven Gaboes has a surprisingly good tour, and it’s something I’m normally not interested in,definitely worth checking out

Thank you Jessica! Blackcraft coffee just opened about a few months ago, so the last time I visited Salem it was my first time trying it. I only got one flavor of coffee the whole time because it was so good, i’m pretty sure it was called a spellbound latte! Hello! There are some walkable locations, like ropes mansion, town hall, and the hocus pocus high school. However the other locations are farther. I would recommend to drive for pioneer village, Max and Dani’s house, and Old Burial Hill Cemetery🖤🎃
