Hey! When did you go here? I am planning to go soon but people keep saying Medellin has been impacted by the pandemic a lot causing a rise in crimes etc

Hi Zahin, We were in Medellin last March. We stayed in the El Poblado district (the area where most tourist stay) and didn't experience anything disturbing. Just stay in the main streets and don't walk around with your stuff (camera etc.) on display. Medellín is amazing!

I wore hiking shoes, but the short hike we did was also possible on sneakers! Unfortunately I'm not sure about the long hike.
