We need a new video to this topic, because the named credentials just got much more complex

I agree, when I finish The Complete Guide to Integrations in Apex, the new named credential info will be included.

Very helpful and nicely explained..Is it possible to explain about the complete process of accessing a third party system from Salesforce which is not listed in Auth Providers..Do we have to created a connected app-Auth Provider-Named credential..If i want to connect with Zoom from My Salesforce org and i create a connected app in salesforce it gives Consumer key n secret of salesforce but not zoom..Very confused about it..Could you please explain how to go about it?

do you need to have a user created first in the external system that coincides with yours in salesforce and then use name credentials? also if the external system requires authentication bearer and its token (which refreshes every 12 hours) would name credentials bypass this too?

Thanks for a good video. Is there a way that a user can authenticate OAuth without going into setup and editing the Named Credential?

The only way I know to do this is just by building the authentication portion of the integration in apex directly, which I have another video for in my Integrations playlist!
