Salesforce Development VS Web Development: Which Career is Right for You?

These are my opinions being a salesforce developer. So it is upto you to decide. I really don't like salesforce as a software engineer. It is simple all right but it is filled with people who love no code which I can understand. In fact while developing on salesforce I also try to take the no code approach. However I was really fortunate to work on a really large project with 60+ developers. I found glaring blunders made by many senior salesforce architects and developers alike. Mistakes which even a basic intern with sound knowledge of web development won't make. Whenever I try to write clean code using proper instance methods and using constructors none of the architects even understand what I am talking about. Salesforce itself is not bad you can do a lot which you can in other languages. However the quality of devs is extremely poor. Many of them don't even know what is git. What will happen if you use a instance variable inside a static method etc. That's why I have made the decision to dedicate the initial few years as a good fullstack engineer instead. The pay is pretty good in Salesforce but there isn't a good way to filter out or even measure your technical skills in salesforce like there is DSA and system design for web dev. That's why I am quitting. But I suggest other people who are less technically inclined more business oriented to go for salesforce.

The jobs in Salesforce development are low as well there is very high chances that you have to work in night shift as you need to interact with clients
