Hi Shree, As you said when the account is created and if the Rating is hot then create the Opp with same name as Account Name!! You have Added a Condition 1) Rating is Hot 2) Rating is Changed as True !! This Works Fine when we update an Account but it stops Working whenever we Create a New Account (Because it doesn't have the Previous value of Rating) In order To achieve the Scenario we must Add a Decision element which checks 1) For New Account === Rating is Hot && Prior_Rating = Null 2) For Old Account (Updating the Field) == Rating is Hot && New_Rating is not equal to Old Rating!!

Combined with validation rules, a record can be prevented from updated, updated, or deleted using the Flow based complex logic without using Apex triggers. For the deletion use case, the validation message is among system messages, while it shows the validation rule error messages only for the create and update use cases. Flow is amazingly powerful! There is no need to use Apex. The only use case that Apex has to be utilized is to validate whether a file/document is uploaded, period!

I have a question on the first exercise. In case the user has a different shipping address to enter while creating the record, will that get overwritten by the flow? The use case referenced that requirement, but I think the flow did not consider that, right? Could you please clarify? Thanks

That's correct. First scenario did not consider hence the values will be overridden. Thanks for pointing out. We can take care of it by adding condition in start element of that flow as Shipping city ISNULL TRUE Shipping Street ISNULL TRUE Shipping State ISNULL TRUE Shipping Country ISNULL TRUE Shipping postalcode ISNULL TRUE

This Video says that A flow can be Called when an Field Update is Done !! Whereas the last video says we need to call process builder which in turn calls Flows !!! Am I correct ?

Hi Aswin. By the time previous video was posted flows do not have the ability to get called on field update, people had used process builder to call flows.. after Salesforce new releases flows got new feature to get called on field updates. Hope this answered your question
