So sad to see what was once a thriving shopping centre and market. I was born down Langworthy Rd in the 60's and the market which is now a car park next to Lidl was a hive of activity. I still remember the stall holders shouting there wares, the old ladies in the hair rollers chattering as they caught up with the gossip. It's changed so much, and sadly not for the better..

so so very true. was great years ago. i loved it in the 80s as being a kid and with good shops and the Market

Boy that evokes so many memories, I was more 70s, black peas baked tatties whilst mooching at at the many stalls. It was a lovely atmosphere, bloody sighs x

Lidl was also part of the outdoor market. As for the original indoor market next to the Church, well that's been leveled too.

lived in Fitzwarren street 55 years ago, lovely to see the area again, when I lived there the shopping centre was new, sad to see its decline.

Lived there from 71-85 on Edgehill close. Great memories of the precinct and so many laughs growing up. Such a shame to see how it looks now.😪

Born and still live in Salford the precinct was alot better in the 90s when I was about 9 or 10 the outside market was mint. And I loved running around the indoor one too. Different place now, the soul has been sucked right out of it.

i lived in salford 40 yrs brings back memories am now 53 am thinking of moving back if i could get a flat

@@christhomas9956 Lived just down from Albert Park until last month, didn't really want to move away but had to move back to Ireland to look after elderly parents. Spent 20 years in Salford, it's much better than the image many people unfortunately have of it.

Salford is a massive red area of Greater Manchester. The city of Salford is wall to wall red, very few City fans live there. My dad's family are Failsworth and New Moston (North Manchester), which North Manchester is massive Man Utd area as well. Mancunians and Salfordians, twin cities, and brother's they are 🙂

There are some decent ones, there is a discount store called save-a-lot and they get random stuff in at a discounted price. Some American products as well.
