My hands sweat just watching, just of nightmares, I can almost feel the snap of the rope, hook or attachment failing

at least if one fails then the rope will keep you safe, just hold on very tightly!!

Go on utube and type in ( above the rush and turmoil 1924 ) and watch steeplejack Robert H Manser climb a ladder on a steeple with one hand while carrying a large box camera, absolutely awesome.

Those iron rings in that stone for 800 years without rusting and splitting it ? And all the mortar between the stone -- not portland mortar ; but something more like house wall plaster !
