You can do anything you want AFTER the setting period. The setting period is different for different products used. The product I use on my clients have a 24 hour setting period. After that, they can do whatever they want with their lashes. I’m certified for both lifts and extensions and no longer offer extensions.

I had lash extensions for the first time in September, they lasted well 5 week then they started looking gappy, maintenance was key I believe washing them daily, but I did find I lost a lot of eyelashes as they came out, more than I regularly do. Before I had the lashes fitted my beautician said she thinks a lash lift would be better for me as my lashes are the longest she’s ever seen, but I was adamant on extensions, my next visit I’ll be going for a lash lift, I had an eyelash perm many years back and it made no difference I’m hopeful a lift will work.

Lash techs offer patch tests before getting them done, so don’t be put off by that

I’m a tech and I always make my clients do a patch test first. I’ve never had issues but will continue because you never know who could react. Make sure you go to a reputable lash tech that knows what they are doing and uses high quality product.
