Well done to both couples. Glad you listened to Sarah. X

For twins & husband property - it would make such a more attractive property if they added landscaping at front and a mini roof/shelter over entranceway. Otherwise looks very good ....appreciate they listened to Sarah for a change.

I really felt for the couple in Wales. All the time and expertise he put into the build and both working on it in the way they did... It upset me that they didn't get a good return for what they put in.

The trio didn’t understand the consequences of not planning and leaving the builder hanging. They failed to make important decisions about at least the kitchen, appliances, bathrooms, tile and so forth before reaching a crisis point. Even so the builder would still be taking on a lot of project management. And the three certainly could be have scheduled weekly phone meetings, both with each other and with the builder. When the two sisters were in London it would’ve been imperative that they go down to the building site, and that’s a builder at least have a second contact number. I also never saw the trio draw up an overall plan, Structural work, checking the blueprints, plumbing and electrical to match kitchen and bathroom plans... It’s imperative to respond to the builder when he has a question (and even better to make decisions in a timely fashion so he’s not dependent upon waiting for them). They are sweet people but I can perfectly see why the builder left the job. Sarah was perfectly correct to advise them to take a more hands-on involved approach. I feel badly for the couple because they were organized and really put their own blood sweat and tears into it.

That trio had no business messing about with houses as they are IGNORANT about what the job is and that woman was so rude to their builder when he explained why things were at a standstill, saying to him "I don't accept that." !! RUDE!! Especially when the builder was doing most of the on site management! (I'd have slapped her). The girls are idiots and the husband is useless and it was REALLY DIFFICULT TO WATCH! (And I agree with everything you say except that I didn't think that they were so sweet! It is so difficult for me to watch people being rude like that ... esp. out of blind ignorance).

On each of the shows that I've watched so far, the end results are too good to be true - beautiful furniture, beautiful details - all from people who don't know what they're doing. I know that reality shows don't have a lot to do with "reality." It makes the viewer think that he/she can do something like that.

I think most of them must get a decorator. I recall a couple where the people did themselves and the results were crappy.

Well that trio was lucky ! I do feel sorry for the couple and their 8k profit considering he didnt have a salary. The best turn around to make profit is to find a property which needs a new kitchen and decorate. I did that in 9months and walked away with 100% profit ! Never bite off more than you can chew because the consequences can be hell !!

Humans have the ability to be such assholes. To buy a house and convert it into two properties, and charge someone the initial price but only give them half the house - this is why I will nnnNEver buy a house ... I’ll build one, but I won’t buy one. [Edit] - at 39:00, I immidiately started singing the Monty Python song of Sit On My Face

Sorry but sarah is the irresponsible one here. The trio are self employed and she's telling them to give up working. How are they supposed to pay the mortgage and loans they've had to take out. I agree they should be in contact with the builders more yes. But to to tell them to not work is irresponsible. And also suggesting that they take out a further loan is totally stupid

Oh come on they were dancers I am sure they could have found some time to go to the worksite if they could be bothered. They put no time into it until it was a crisis and then it required them to put 100% time in to stop it bankrupting them. Thats their own fault, its not Sarah who was irresponsible it was them. They even tried to blame the builder for their own laziness.

Self-employed as a graffiti artist and mediocre singers? I'm' sure they can work their careers around their building project since they think major reno is easy.

Bear in mind, that with a vertical split house, you lose buyers who are aged or handicapped, since we cannot easily negotiate stairs! Also, you lose a LOT of floor space by needing a stairwell.

It’s important we judge her by her appearance. The fact she is a self made millionaire in property is irrelevant to her credibility in a BUILDING show.
