Edward G. Robinson was one of the incredible actors that old Hollywood produced. He wasn't your typical leading man like Tyrone Powers, but his presona and that voice commanded a huge presence on film. Forever, he will be remembered of one of the greats of Hollywood films.

no skin, no blood guts and veins, just a great story and the best of the best cast. Edward G could and did play any and all rolls put in front of him and made us believe HE WAS that person!

Edward G. Robinson played his part superbly. Don't think another actor could have compared. Excellent film. Ty Sallis65.

One thing for sure movies like this one they don't do them anymore when actors weren't paid like today's do but anyway this movie named ( The Red House ) in 1947 staring Edward G. Robinson.with mystery murder. suspense love etc and the reason I wrote what I did is because the person who uploaded this didn't bother. This classic movie is fantastic, great excellent etc that should have won an Oscar in my opinion and on a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 10. I'm Ed living in Florida The person who wrote a comment below mine lied because there was no kiss between a mother and her son so please ignore that weird stupid comment.

Ed Dancer, Nothing to be shamed about between a kiss from a mother and her son in the mouth or father and daughter. That was the way it was back then in a clean world not like today. Such a paternal or maternal kiss back then was normal.

If it's the one early in the movie around 21:00 he kissed his mother on the cheek. Nothing peculiar there except compared to today, there wouldn't be acknowledgment of him even going anywhere, yea, bye. Some Europeans kissed on the lips between family members. Yea, creepy, but I didn't see anything here, unless it still to come, a cheek kiss, but the directing was strange, and it seemed unusual to me, as if he was more a peer than her son, maybe that's what you were picking up on ?
