For those who were wondering, gaining friendship overnight happens when a gifting week ends. If someone was given two gifts in the same week, they get a little bonus to friendship at the end of the week. I don't remember how many friendship points it's worth, but I remember it was mentioned on one of BlaDe's videos on getting a super early marriage.

I am currently watching this video while grinding fiber in the sewer for the living hat and happened to get a bridal veil from smashing a bug. I haven't found any numbers on how rare this is but I thought it was ironic. I also just got the Tiger hat yesterday from farming them in my slime hutch. Happy hunting and thanks for the content.

He went from 67 to 69 because he counted the blobfish mask when he got master angler at 1:15:21 , not when he tailored it, therefore it was already counted.

Very fun run! But I thought it was going to be on 1.6 :( 1.6 nerfs hat prices, but you get many free hats from doing random things, mystery boxes are great, looms produce more cloth, masteries ease a lot of grinding and there are a bunch of new hats!

I mean looking at the actual set of WHAT hats you missed, the result wasn't bad at all (even if the run was full of taro-death fumbles and other goofs). You missed the Cowpoke, Green Party Hat, and Knight's Helmet. Literally *everything else* was either Legendary, Mythic, or pure RNG. You'd have had the party hat easily if this were a "One year to find" instead of an arbitrary "100 days to find", while the helmet was unlikely and cowpoke was probably NEVER happening under any circumstances.

So, how did you get Networking overnight between a Saturday and a Sunday? Well, it's fairly simple actually; at the end of a week the game does a check. If you have given them the maximum of 2 gifts in that past week, you'll get a tiny bit of extra friendship overnight. In this case, it must have been enough to push one of them over to 5 hearts.

Back when the Trash Bear/Raccoon was added one of the dishes they asked me for was glazed yams, I did not have yams to glaze. And so. Grinding for a yam for glazed yams so I wouldn’t have to wait a year to complete that quest

100 days of stardew valley is such a weird format. Awesome run though! Its fun to watch a run that's not routed, and uses some but not a ton of speed run strats. It's a lot like the way I play, and its fun to see how far you can take a challenge that way!

One time I got the living hat, I think it was in the mines or something, and I thought it was fiber. I needed inventory space, and I almost threw it out. I thankfully saw that I had 2 things of fiber, got confused, and then realized.

I always add Hat completion to my runs, It brings me small joy since some of them are kind of luck based (RNG). I even made a separate place for it on my Stardew Notion page to keep track of everything.

13:00 unless you're a gamer who always gets perfect catches this isn't really true, any catch gets roughly double xp from treasure chests (slightly less than the boost for perfect) and daily luck significantly changes the odds to find chests. if you really want to optimise around daily luck then you should do foraging/woodcutting, chores around the farm, quests, gift giving, etc on bad luck days, but your good luck days can be spent mining or fishing it's up to you, unless you've completed mastery and don't need any items from fishing chests in which case luck is useless but at that point you're close to perfection already

If I'm not wrong, talking to villagers during a festival will not increase friendship points, rather, attending a festival gives a small friendship boost to everyone.

@salmence You can artificially inflate your fishing level with dishes in an emergency for an early Legend. Trout soup is easily available from Willy so technically you only need level 9. If you get really lucky Gus will sell something with +2 or even 3!

actually a note about the mushroom hat. its actually not deterministic each day, when you get the hat is actually determined the moment you chop it down, so if you have a bunch of mushroom trees, just chop them all down, and reset the day if you dont get the hat! butttt you werent allowed to reset, which... wouldnt work for this challenge lol

Okay looking through all the hats, I think only 3 are no go no way impossible in 100 days: Craft Everything - Not enough Special Order quests Read Every Book - Marnie's only shows up in Y2 All Achievements - See above. With judicious fish pond and fizz usage, along with astonishingly good rng / multiplayer and somewhat good rng, the rest should be possible. Now that's a challenge run I might give a try

You can get mushroom seeds without buying them from Mr Qi. If one is in the ground because of a mushroom tree or stumo nearby you can just, hoe/axe it out now just like any other seed and they have a chance to drop if you just cut the tree down. Found out the hard way and got to relocate all of mine to decoarate grandpa's shrine
