Yeah, I found out there's a couple of peacocks living in the brush surrounding the ruins. They're not people friendly though. Thanks for watching!

So cool...the Anasazi were definitely an intriguing tribe and a lot of their cultural practices were similar to the defleshing/burials under the floors of Pueblo homes at Catalhoyuk... interesting enough, Herodotus thought it odd that Egyptian men did the weaving...I wonder if there is a connection especially considering so many other shared elements with Egypt and Egypt with Mesopotamia. The way this site is still partially covered, I wonder if the settlement was intentionally burned and then buried! Sooo cool...can't wait to see it in April when I plan to backpack through the Chaco region!
