How do I say this, they both really break the stigma of BL industry. Most of BL fans want their CP to date in real life, but here they are, making us root for their friendship instead. It's sincere, it's genuine, I kinda envy them, I mean, what they have is true bond, and it's rare to find such things these days. They are really lucky. Thank you OhmNanon, for being the way you are, and for sharing your special bond with all of us :)

The MCs really handled the interview very well. They didn’t force anything about them being a couple but they understood how deep their friendship is. While some MCs would be very pushy, the MCs just let Ohm and Nanon answer the questions with all their heart. I also like how they break the barriers of toxic masculinity and that it’s really okay to show affection to your guy friends and let them feel that they are important. They don’t hesitate telling each other they are soulmates and that they love each other. Not necessarily in a romantic way, but it shows how deep their friendship is by accepting who they are and not try to please each other. I love them more as actors and as persons! Thank you also for the eng sub! I’ve been looking for this interview with eng subs for the past few days. Thank you Salmon podcast! ❤️

When Ohm couldn't control his emotions and teared up while talking abt his relationship with nanon, i also lost it. Like the guy really became emotional while talking about the care they have for each other, the deep relationship that they have that's beyond words...man, they are meant to be together, maybe not in a romantic way, but their bond was meant to be, seeing how they treasured each other this much. They love each other for who they are, it's true love in it's own way. Ohm and Nanon's kind of relationship is so rare nowadays. Even between closest friends, there are not many who can say they can die for the other bcs saying those words is so intimate and needs that strong commitment to be able to say that, and that kind of attitude in a relationship is mostly seen between lovers or family members, really not much bet friends if we were tbh. But the fact that Nanon can say that with all seriousness and conviction he could muster really says alot about how he treasures Ohm and Chimon...seriously.. when he called Ohm as his soulmate I really had goosebumps because boi, how rare it is for a guy to say that to a close friend bcs it's considered too cheesy, but his expressions showed that he's really serious about it. THAT is really a relationship worth keeping indeed.

they are both wise at such a young age. very brave of Nanon to be vulnerable and open like that. Ohm has a lot of things figured out I wish I had too. He looks within himself and is working hard on what he can accomplish, he is satisfied with "simple" things and very humble and I admire those traits very much. Also as someone who grew up with the mindset not to be vulnerable in front of others and problems with asking someone for help seeing Nanon open up about his struggles feels powerful
Listening to Nanon’s explanation with his experience in method acting and how it has affected him personally really hits hard. I can relate to this so much because as long as I could remember I had the habit of putting myself in the perspectives of others and creating different characters to experience their emotions and thought processes. My way of thinking and personality has changed so many times I’ve forgotten what I used to be like as a kid and my moral compass is somewhat at a crossroad most of the time. I’m currently studying psychology because of this in hopes of becoming a clinical psychologist in the future and understanding my own self, but this habit of mine had left so much permanent damage to my inner self that it’s become difficult for me to disassociate a character’s thoughts from my own and left me filled with a lot of hard mental battles. I hope Nanon won’t ever have to experience even half the struggles I’ve had to deal with and he won’t take method acting too far. He is a phenomenal actor, but his health and mental wellbeing should come first.

I dont know if we are the same but I also have similar experience. Actually I learned this after watching this podcast and I thought I am only the one who experience this.I am not an actor but since I was a child i am too immerse on watching tv shows especially animes and novels. If I like a character, I try to be like them or being them by imitating them. When I was young, I imitate those powerful women who defended themselves from men so I often imitate their high kicks or karate 😂 and I also imitate a character who is air headed but sunshine to everyone (yes its cringey 😂🤦♀️) so I start being friendly and wants to be friends with everyone. And then in my teen years, I am so addict at watching kdramas so if I like this character, I will also imitate it, the hairstyle, the way they talk, THE SELF TALK, and others and since I watch too many series and animes I often switch my character/personality until I lose myself and asking my identity to myself. At those years, I push the character to myself to become my reality and it is really hard. My friends even told me I am weird because I often switch my mood and talking to myself. Thankfully I am okay now and still knowing myself and also always have self realizations. It is really hard. I hope Nanon will overcome this and love his self more ♥️

idk if this is somewhat related but I also experience switching between characters lately. ig it's because of excessive reading of books in first person POV. I get so immersed in reading that after finishing a book my character would then shift and it would last for a couple of months or when I finish another book.
@doraaaa06132 жыл бұрын
im not sure if i experience the same thing exactly, but my 2 cents: i think personalities are in itself quite flexible, even people with more "stable" identities tend to look back on their past selves and not be able to relate to how they used to be. i dont think people who change personalities or have fluid identities should feel so dislodged from their definition of what a personality should be in the first place. humans like to neatly box things up and stick labels on them, i think it creates an unnecessary inner tension. i was told by a friend years ago that i had no real "personality" because id absorb certain actions or ways of being or thinking like a sponge without having a fixed identity. back then i didn't fully understand what they meant and was quite hurt and insulted by it but i understand now, and it doesn't cause me much angst because im comfortable with my fluid or "lack of" personality. i dont feel the need to confine myself to a certain way of being. if you ever ask me to define who i am at a certain point of time, ill be at a loss for words. in that sense, i don't quite have a personality, i suppose. i dont know if my ramblings make sense but ive always struggled with personality and my sense of identity since i was in my teens, id see everyone behave and act a certain way and confidently say that it's their personality and not be able to relate at all. my identity is a blur to my own self.

These are the best MCs I have ever seen in an interview. It is SO refreshing to see two actors starring in a BL series be allowed to really share their thoughts without the MC or fans asking questions like ‘ArE YOu DaTIng ThO’. And they actually got to talk about the CRAFT of acting which is so incredibly awesome and something I’ve really only seen Gun touch the surface of before. This interview is amazing and the MCs did an incredible job of preparing questions, listening, and creating a space for real conversation. I really wish other MCs would watch and learn from this interview.

This has got to be the most revelatory and most profound interview of anyone that I have listened to in a long time. No wonder these two actors, despite their very young ages, are at the top of their profession, and will likely continue to be so for the rest of their working lives. Nothing beats sincerity, empathy, and compassion, which they both have in prodigious amounts. A big credit to the translator / subtitles writer -- it is not always easy to convey the content of a discussion in another language while still preserving the prevailing feeling and sensitivities, but the subtitles here managed to do so quite well.

Yes, I agree with you 👍🏻 The 1st time I saw Nanon's acting in The Gifted 2 years ago, I already thought he's a good actor despite his young age, and just few weeks before I came across BBS, got to know them more, especially Ohm as I'm not that familiar with other actors/actresses aside from Ch3, but now getting to know more GMM artists, but as you mentioned, OhmNanon have some maturity even though they still young, 10 years younger than me to be exact, but as a K-pop fan, and just getting to know some Thailand artists, they got me impressed om how mature they think in this podcast #sorryformybadEnglish

@@nrhusna I regret that unfortunately I have not watched "The Gifted" yet -- in fact "Bad Buddy" is the only Nanon work that I have seen so far -- but I plan to do so in the near future. On the other hand, on the strength of Ohm's performance in "Bad Buddy", and because it had the same director, I was compelled to watch "He's Coming to Me" (filmed in 2018 and broadcast in early 2019), and it did not disappoint -- as others have also said, it truly was an acting showcase for the then-18-year-old Ohm Pawat, in his first project after signing on with GMMTV in 2018. I highly recommend it if you have not watched it yet.

They show a maturity way beyond their years, whether that is inherent in them or the product of good parenting, it is evident from this interview.

I absolutely loved this interview and I don't watch many interviews because they just don't ask captivating questions, always what are doing these days, what projects are you worn on, etc etc superficial questions and I find it hard to connect with any of them. Eh maybe also because these interviews I see are like 15-20 minutes too, but 🤷🏾♀But this one had so much DEPTH. Things I didn't know I wanted to know about I actually wanted to know. I learned much more about their characters than I thought I knew from watching the actual show. I like how they presented their characters as actual people, showing their complexities and dynamics. It makes me retrospectively understand the show, Pat and Pran, and Pat and Pran's personalities and actions more. Granted, they probably had so much more to say about them because they really got into their characters and I can only count so many actors that I know of that I could feel that from. But this has got to be the main reason why I love Bad Buddy, they became their characters, knew them inside and out, and presented them perfectly., so much so that I could see them as more than just a character on a screen. That and their chemistry and real, deep connection made such a difference. Watching the show, I kept thinking "aw, this works so well because they're best friends" but I didn't realize the extent of their relationship and, now, it makes SO much sense! I have to say...Ohm is so much more mature than I ever thought he was. (I don't mean that in a bad way like he's childish or an empty shell or anything; I've only known about him since Bad Buddy started airing...which is so UNFORTUNATE because I missed out on so many years of talent...) But his answers were so damn well-thought out, well-developed, and so damn insightful...got me over here questioning my entire existence. I'm literally thinking about what his mindset is and how can I be like him LOL Like, I knew he'd been in the acting game for a while and he was referred as a BL veteran amongst his peers, but wow, I'm really getting that veteran vibe from him, like he's been in the game for a while. Maybe it has something to do with what he learned from Pat, being more confident in himself, because I definitely see it. He OOZES confidence. I freaking love it. And don't get me STARTED on his love for Nanon. Oh, my, GOD. Like I said before, I knew they were best friends, soulmates as Nanon had described it before too, I could feel it, but I didn't realize the extent of their relationship. I have two best friends and we consider each other soulmates, and I love them to death, but I could not talk them up to tears. Like, that is a deep-rooted love from the core. Him tearing up from talking about his relationship with Nanon shows me how genuine it is. That shit had ME crying. It's beautiful. And I am not talking about this in a romantic sense. Just exactly what they have and describe: a forever-friendship. Now, Nanon... Sigh. I have never felt so much closer to or connected with Nanon than I do after this interview. I wholeheartedly understand and felt his current struggle (or as current as over 1 month ago is) of not knowing or understanding who you are because you do too much, connect with everything else around you and those external factors control the type of person you present yourself as. I know he's experienced that radio silent moment(s) where there's nothing going on around you, everything's stopped, and you're forced to be alone with your own thoughts because you don't know what you want to do and you feel like you're standing in front of a mirror, looking at the reflection, and not know who you're staring at when you come to that realization....or maybe it's just me. 😅 But man, it's going to be a hard and long battle for him to figure out and overcome. And this is the moment where Ohm looks like radiant statue to me because it looks like he's figured out how to separate Ohm from his characters, or understands who Ohm is in order to not get lost. I just want to share this interview with someone to appreciate their candor and openness, but I know they wouldn't understand it or understand what this interview now means to me. So, I'm just going to leave this comment here for any poor soul that has the misfortune to read this novel of a comment to read it and simp over Nanon and Ohm with me. 🥺
It's really hard to have such people in our lives. OhmNanon's relationship is really pure and beautiful. It doesn't need to be defined and by the way you both complete everything. There is no place really left out. If you people cry it really made me cry too, I really can feel every emotion they showed and it is really difficult to have such kind of talent and people. By the way, you're real gems and to be honest, there are many actors but there are really fewer ones who can be felt. You really made it at such a young age. I hope you both soon touch every summit and depth of every single person's feeling on this planet.
Can’t believe they’re just 21! They are so articulate and very profound. Definitely more mature than some adults these days.
@LeoCloma2 жыл бұрын
That has really got to be one of the most remarkable things about the Ohm-Nanon phenomenon: how many 21-year-olds anywhere in the world could be so high-EQ, compassionate, and sensitive. Some sweet moments to share with fellow international fans :-) I really love this interview. Ohm is a lot more mature than I think he is. I like when he talked about the incident on the press conference day when both of them preparing to go on stage. Nanon was there all shaking and later when they got off the stage both of them just sat down in the changing room for an hour for a deep conversation. Nanon couldn't process the situation like there were a lot of things that made him feel unsecured. Ohm tried to comfort him and used his experience to help him interpret the situation. Ohm said this is the first time they revealed this story. Also, I love when Ohm shared that even they are friends, they have different preferences. There are a few things that he dislikes about Nanon. He talked about this with a friend and that person said it seems Ohm really cares about Nanon so he spent time thinking about lots of things. Finally, he admits that he loves and respects Nanon, and he said it's not easy for a guy friend, especially when they are a working partner (as a CP), to say this out loud. This incident also changes the way he sees Nanon. Talking about this then he started to get emotional and said he's about to cry and Nanon padded his leg. Nanon said the same thing he said it's not hate they just care and worry about each other. He even said they were Soulmate. They are so sincere and so sweet :-)

Thank you for the recap. I recently read that Nanon suffered depression especially during pandemic. Now I understand where Ohm is coming from. Ohm might be putting more strength in their friendship because of Nanon’s vulnerability. Basically, thankful that Ohm is there and they paired up so they got closer bc Nanon might not be in a good place mentally (even now). Nanon’s sister also left for Canada to study too I think and they are super close. Sometimes when people are going through depression, they can put a “happy persona” on the outside but they are really not doing well emotionally/mentally inside.

I believe that the incident that Ohm narrated here might be the same one described by P'Aof in their reaction video to Bad Buddy Episode 9 (on the ศูนย์วิจารณ์ Soon Vijarn KZbin channel) where Ohm was a guest reactor. It was actually P'Aof whom Ohm had approached with his curious observation about Nanon one day, early in the shooting schedule for the Bad Buddy series. P'Aof's advice to Ohm was for Ohm to speak to Nanon about it directly. Apparently tears were shed in the process, and the bond between the two only became even stronger as a result.

It's the best conversation i have ever seen. Credit point to both of host, you are incredible. You make Ohm and Nanon so comfortable to talk about their pure feeling.
Tbh, until now this is my favorite interview of OhmNanon because it tackle everything and I love the deep talk I learn a lot from them

Mad respect for these MCs, they did their work amazingly well, treated the boys with so much respect, keeping the boundaries of their friendship intact and not mistaking them for their characters, like so many do. I loved how smart all your questions were and how they made me learn so much more about Ohm and Nanon.
I love interviews like this where they can really spoke what they really feel and want. I kinda get what Nanon went through, he is younger than me and I'm proud that he was able to overcome such crisis in identifying who he really is, same with Ohm. I'm not an actor but I know how difficult it is to be in character and then out of that character, it's like switching on and off, back and forth, after doing it for quite sometime it may disfunction and start blinking, you'll be confused and broken. For Ohm, it's hard having such confidence most specially in their industry where they have to be confident in every role given to them. I love how Ohm shared how he was able to realize that he cares and loves Nanon despite their differences, you know, simple things such as asking "how are you?" ,"where are you going?", those gestures already inform you that you are being aware and sensitive in every little that the person does, you are concered and wary towards them.

Nanon is so mature for his young age...and this maturity it show every time in his work, cause he is one of the best actor I have seen. love him so much
I honestly wish that we could see another bl show with them with a mature plot or just different not the usual fluffy college type. They have so much skill and chemistry I know that they can pull any hard plot and I don’t think they would ever agree to be a part of a simple common bl.

Agree with this. Hoping that they will have another project together as a partner and the storyline could be more serious but still amusing to the audience.

After I finished watching the interview, I really don't know if they are a couple in real life or just friends, but I don't care anymore. I have realized that between them, what prevails most is a beautiful and deep friendship. I loved how these MCs didn't push OhmNanon to make them look like a couple. They delved into their personalities and the friendship between the two. Thank you for such a beautiful interview and for translating it. XOXO
I'm speechless.....I did not expect ohm to have such serious answers...and nanon talks like a song writer...."acting is like trading souls".... "song writing is as delicate as cooking or baking", "blame that we have come to know each other, accuse us for loving each other"......I'm so happy that we got such a valuable interview....I learned a lot from this...thankyou so much
All I can say about this interview is that everything was so smooth and great! Never thought that these boys have so much to share and the deep talk makes me more hit-hard at them. So pure and innocent boys. Beautiful relationship and friendship. Young and talented actors.

I'm very touched to hear Nanon opening up about his struggles and about seeing a psychiatrist, a lot of people can relate and I appreciate him even more now, wishing all the best for him ❤

When nanon talk about learning acceptance as a solution 😢 I feel it in my soul. I'm 27 and I just learn about it this year too. When he talked about himself I can sympathise with him. I'm an artistic person who got stuck in such different situation from my personality (working 9 - 5 job) and it stress me out alot. I get irritated that I can't perform as expected because I tend to lose focus when it's something I'm not interested in. So I'm always in agony with myself. Anxious and depressed, I can't even see a psychiatrist so I'm just so lost. I can't even open up to my friends or family. When I hit a wall I just try to divert from it. Only this year, I learnt to try to accept it as it comes. Talk alot with my sister and open up to my mom although she can't understand everything I'm going through because the point of view of older generation is different, she try her best to listen. I unloaded alot while crying like a baby and this happened in a park 😅 Nanon being surprised with himself that he learnt this lesson in such a young age is right. But maybe it's because he's in entertainment industry from such a young age that's why he mature so fast than others his age.

Of all the BL series interview, I would say that this one strikes me alot in different ways. I love how this interview started, handled and concluded. This vid opened a lot of new perspective about an actor's life. I've never been satisfied with an inteview before until I watched this
