Welcome to the captivating Saloma Link, also known as Pintasan Saloma, a stunning 69-meter pedestrian and cyclist bridge that gracefully spans the majestic Klang River in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
This architectural marvel seamlessly connects two vibrant districts: Kampung Baru in the northwest and Kuala Lumpur City Centre in the southeast. As you approach from the southwest, a gentle ramp invites you onto the bridge, while on the northwest side, stairs and an elevator await from street level.
Inspired by the beautiful arrangement of the sireh junjung, a significant element in Malay weddings, the bridge's design is a true homage to cultural elegance.
Nighttime adds its own allure, but note that the bridge isn't accessible from 01:00 to 05:00 on weekdays, and from 0:30 to 05:00 on Sundays and public holidays.
Named in honor of the legendary Malaysian-Singaporean singer Saloma, who rests at the nearby Jalan Ampang Muslim Cemetery, this architectural gem was designed by VERITAS Design Group. The Saloma Link was unveiled to the public on February 5, 2020, after a project that cost 31 million Ringgit Malaysia (equivalent to $7.5 million).
Experience the enchantment of modern engineering harmonizing with cultural significance as you traverse the Saloma Link, a testament to connectivity and beauty in Kuala Lumpur's landscape. Get ready to witness this iconic landmark in our KZbin video-where tradition meets innovation!
