Have had many pairs of these. All waterproof and very durable. Except the last 2 pairs. First pair started to have chunks of the sole rip out. Only 3 months old. Got warranty on them and with the replacement pair on first hike the toe caps started ripping and falling off. Will never buy again. Have bought the Scarpa Ribelle HD

That's good to know, I wonder how the manufacturing has changed. How do you like the Scarpa so far? I was going to review those soon. That's for watching and your input!

I’m confused, you say there’s no such thing a waterproof boot but I have owned plenty of boots that were really waterproof. I could cross streams and even stand in them while fishing all without them leaking. I will admit it seems harder to find ones that last these days though.

Most hiking boots are water resistance not waterproof. As in, there is still some way for water to get into whether it's through the mesh, or seeping through the leather etc, even with GTX. Thanks for watching!

How do you compare them with Hoka kaha 2?
@MountaineerJourney4 ай бұрын
I would say the Hoka Kaha 2 are better. The Kaha 2 have better comfort, fit, and just all around are better. I would say the Quest 4 are for more technical trails and rough terrain they really shine in terms of grip and traction.. that's really the selling point of these boots. Thanks for watching!

How about the grip on wet underground, i've read it is not so good?
@MountaineerJourney4 ай бұрын
They still grip pretty well on wet surfaces!

I would give them a 5 or 6. The kind of boot that looks like it would be in my donation box after a few months.
