The salon act! Ha ha so true. And sale especially on Amazon, don't ask 🙈 i add things on my Amazon wishlist and buy those when they are at a discount. In fact, I add a lot of them and slowly delete the ones I don't really need. This is another trick, when you decide to buy something don't buy immediately. Put it in a list and look at it for a few days. You will realise you don't really need it and automatically avoid buying extra stuff. I am in for the challenge, I think 🙈

I have always used kitchen towels ( paper) as a plate liner to absorb oil from fried items like pakodas, poori, etc before serving them. They are also good to wrap coriander before keeping it in fridge containers. I use cloth to clean kitchen counters.

Have been doing all these and more for years now. I don't go to salons at all apart from getting a haircut (my choice of hair removal is epilation). Don't eat packaged food and husband follows suit. No kitchen paper towels used ever, always the trusty cloth dusters. Shopping during sales was an addiction which I have overcome for quite a while now. Gifting was always experiences or cash or vouchers (I even opted for weddingwishlist on my wedding). Another point I would like to add would be "menstrual cups". Amazing revolutionary but simple change which reduces expenditure and also the load on the environment.

Hey I am already doing all these .... 1. I used to go for threading before but my body hair growth is very less so just using plucker for eyebrows and rest I am doing my self at home 2. Processed food, oil foods, maids, refined oils , refined sugar I stopped using from long time 3. Instead of kitchen towels I am using my old cotton clothes by making them into small pieces which I can use and discard( hehe I have so many old nighties) 4) gifts I stopped buying for my kids or family members on their birthdays instead we all spend that day going out to eat out or picnic in a resort or any new place 5) regarding sale I stopped buying clothes and other stuff because I am trying minimalism and before I want to buy I just ask all these questions ... do I really need it?

M already saving on - no packaged food , sale shopping, salon services ( going to salon makes me feel pathetic) few more ways we can save money is - stop eating outside food. Meet friends at home rather than meeting them outside and then end up spending money. Before buying anything just ask urself whether u really need it or not. ( Is it a need or luxury). Keep a piggy bank at home and keep dropping all the coins which are usually lying here and there . I am sure these habits will make help u not only save but also make you a better person.

Such a wonderful and thoughtful video. Am sharing this video with all my friends. And trust me I have been following few of the tips from so many years.
@honestopinion-w1y5 жыл бұрын
Hi Saloni. :) beautiful video as always. Wanted to share with you that I have been cultivating this habit from my childhood days since the time I have been brought up , never spent on unnecessary things , parlour - I just go for threading and waxing(because I don't like the prickliness that comes out after the shave), have bearly eaten processed foods, always love to have home food and gifted what is useful like a mobile phone to my parents and taught them how to use whatsapp so that they can communicate with me , family and friends, never bought things on sale cuz I constantly keep the things I really want to buy on wishlist if it is a online shopping and never go on impulse buy and track the days so that genuinely when the item is at its lowest cost I tend to buy. What i have observed on offer days is that on purpose they double the money of the product and make it as 50% off which will be costing more than other days and I have screenshot of that as well for one the myntra product that I was tracking on, that led me to decide on never to buy on offer days. And last but not the least , never have I ever used kitchen paper towels and only used cotton kitchen towels. Our parents had all the good old ideas of doing right things which our generation has forgotten. I hope this video of yours helps wider audience to do what is required to do and what was done from the ages of our parents and still they lead a very good life and be more proactive than lazy :)

@suprithap68105 жыл бұрын
Ya I too get asked the same question by many when I say that I use shaver. I haven’t faced any problem of growing back of thicker hair or bumps. The key is to moisturize the skin after shaved.

Hi Saloni ☺ first off, wonderful video and challenge. I can proudly say I don't go to salons, don't use kitchen paper towels, and give mainly cash as gift🎁 ☺ As far as shopping goes I usually add to cart, but don't immediately bill it unless it's urgently needed. After a few days when I go back, I reevaluate it. Lastly, packaged foods bought only occasionally( as cooking is mainly done by my Mil ☺ - God bless her 😇) For once I'm proud of myself 😇🙃😉😌😃
