Thank you for showing us the COPA TURN, which is not used often enough. It is one of the most elegant turns in the NY Style...You can see it at 0:02 & 1:53, which starts in the men's cross handed right "shake hand hold". After its completion they turn it into the carousel cross body lead. Elegant & smooth...the New York way...Great! I'm a FAN! Thank you for sharing the COPA TURN!

@@SalsanuevaParis just a little (unasked feedback). If you think people are gonna watch 15 minutes of someone talking about broad general things ("a great salsa dancer who doesnt know how to turn doesnt exist"). Not very, exciting to watch. You'd be surprised that people wont watch it. What is way more likely to work is if you show a very short video of one or two examples of what people will get when they buy it and yes, those 1 or 2 examples, must obviously be from the high end of what you offer. Because once people bought it, they bought it. You dont show bad examples, and have all the good stuff in the bought package that nobody buys because the teaser you provided were bad. Btw this guy made a point here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mp2VfoSnadaCars he is about comedy. But the similar applies if you want to sell dance videos.

I actually really enjoyed watch her subtle style because she really pays attention to the rhythm and uses her whole body to subtly reflect the music. Makes all the difference. Hope my mambo video reflects the same as well!

2:55. That was a move…😀. I’m very new to Salsa and not even learning it but watching a lot of videos as inspiration for a character I’m writing about. Like I said I’ve been watching a lot of videos but hadn’t seen that move. Also I like how the dancers seem to be the same skill level as far as I can tell. Maybe I’m off on that but I’ve seen a lot of vids where the male is sooo much better at it…almost like the females are students. And then I’ve seen women who look like they know what they’re doing as long as they are being led but when they dance apart from the male lead they just do something very basic with little to no styling. Talking mostly about the social videos on that point but they are all head and shoulders above where I’m sitting so 😂😂😂.

Well, he actually dance ON 1 but break ON TWO. When you break ON TWO you can go to the SON, or to the POWER ON TWO (dancing ON2). You can play what you want.

OMG it's same =p Look how eddie torres dance (he codified salsa) and he also dances on 2 too. Even frankie martinez! Many dancers inspire their own style from his. Anyway, you can put a huge rang of style in salsa dance... But explain to me what is the difference between NYS and On2 :)

Hum, j'aurais plutôt qualifié le style de fluide. Ben oui, le NY style est à mon avis le plus beau, mais aussi incontestablement le plus difficile (ce n'est pas pour rien qu'en soirée, la plupart de ceux qui dansent on2 sont des tueurs). Le seul truc dommage, c'est qu'il n'y a pas grand monde qui danse on2 en France... Du coup cela isole quelque peu les danseurs on2...
