Hats off to the Puerto Ricans for bringing this to the states and elsewhere. This is the greatest cultural gift in the world.You folks were born dancing! Salsa ritmo is originally mostly from Cuba. But Puerto Ricans had so many global hits on it and created that Mambo Style of Dancing you see here instead of the simpler basic side to side style original from Cuba. Cubans used to dance it also Free Style. PR did so many great creations that are enjoyed all over the world last 60 years..

Yes, and it keeps your joints literally well lubricated (salsa in particular). Yola Montalvan this salsa dancing is beautiful flatshod, or in heels. I hope you dance through the years. It's the "happiest" dance style in the world. 👌

Se aprende muy rapido, en 1 o 2 años aprendes lo basico y despues simplemente añades figuras y variedad y asi queda tan bien :)

mi opinion coincide con algunos comentarios que he leido aqui, la salsa no es solo dar vueltas y vueltas como un trompo. es tambien saber llevar a tu pareja, no veo el sabor y el mambo que tiramos los latinos. las vueltas son importantes en la salsa y se ven muy bien en el momento indicado y en la cantidad precisa, pero vueltas vueltas y mas vueltas no se.......

This is also Salsa. They are dancing Cross Body style Salsa. Maybe you are thinking about Cuban Salsa or Dominican Salsa? Salsa can be danced in many different ways and using different timings as well.
