Just watching this excellent video again after more than a year of no dancing, apart from solo practice. It means so much more now, after studying other salsaventura videos during the pandemic. All those tips explaining both what to do and what not to do truly increase my understanding of the moves and techniques being demonstrated and taught. Thank you for these wonderful educational instructional videos.

You are a really great teacher. Not many good dancer can teach well not to mention to present it well. Thank you so much for your works. Of course my compliment also applies to Vanessa.

Just watching this excellent video again, after a year of no dancing apart from solo practice. Perfect visual demonstration and verbal explanation of what to do. I'm trying to remember both the words and the images. Thank you Morry and Vanessa for this excellent educational video, which provides hope and inspiration to keep us going until it is safe for the dancefloors to reopen again- one day! Hope you are both well.

Excellent video and verbal instructions to illustrate and explain the move. I believe you said the man could use his left hand, instead of his right. Is this move also known as the Outside Roll, where the lady turns clockwise, and the man prepares her for it using his left?

The Reversed Cross Body Turn can be done in so many ways. Indeed also with the left hand of the guys. About the Outside Roll: no idea. For us the Reversed Cross Body Turn is basically an inside turn towards the guy.

I've done this turn before, but with the left hand and with the man doing a back-spot turn in place as the lady goes by. I'll give your method here a try, though; maybe it's easier to do it this way.

I like the one you mention. Mine in this video is easier I think.

Do you have any recommendations on what 'other moves' to combine the reverse crossbody turn with to make it more interesting? I almost never do one move and then go back to basic, it's always 3-4 moves in a row. But I'm having trouble thinking of how to make this a useful move. The only think I can think of is to do a shoulder check when lady turns, you stop her with her back to you (before she does the 1.5 turn) and then do something else. Any more complex patterns you can point me to on youtube that have the reverse crossbody turn in them??

Hi, yes there is so much you can do. Just with the RCBT you can do so many different ones. You can find a lot of them at www.salsaventura.tv.

@@salsaventura Thanks for the reply. With all due respect (because you do seem like a great teacher) I really don't want to pay for any videos. There's too much free stuff on KZbin already. I'll just move on to something else if you can't give me a couple suggestions of what moves to add to the reverse crossbody turn. But thank you for the videos you do provide for free. Take care : )

@@rbaddict2947 - I agree: there is a LOT on the internet ... But the quality varies. I guess I might as well keep my opinion to myself (since you asked the question 3 years ago). As someone that has bought a lot of videos and spent a lot of time using free stuff (and attended tons of lessons), these videos really are worth the asking price. Happy student and customer. Take care :)

@@nicolcarstens9573 No need to keep your opinion to yourself, please go on, I value you thoughts and thank you for the reply. I'm curious what moves you would combine the reverse cross body lead with? Thanks

@@rbaddict29474 years later and you’re still looking for an answer? I guess the free stuff isn’t that great 😅
