For cations, 5th group, just a point to keep in mind, the tests for Ba2+, Sr2+, and Ca2+ are done in this order specifically. Reason being the testing reagent of later cation also reacts with the preceding ion. Saral bhasha mai, Ca2+ ki test ke liye C2O4(2-) use karte hai, par oxalate Ba2+ and Sr2+ se bhi react kar jata hai, to confirm nhi hoga ki Ca2+ hi hai. Whereas, Ba2+ ke test mai CrO4(2-) use karte hai jo ki normal conditions mai baaki dono se react nhi karta.
