I’ve been having my brows done for years ombré style. I’ve stopped getting them done as within a couple of weeks they go from dark brown to ash coloured on my skin. Should I get them entirely removed and start over?

Yes, you should. They may be ripening ashy, cuz the artist might have gone too deep

So when you do removal, you use the saline of course vs the pigment.. do you shade the same way when you do ombré brows?

What's the best way to avoid getting the area wet? Face washing, etc would be very challenging if not impossible to keep dry

Speaking for myself as a PMU artist (and since the OP hasn't responded), you CAN get the area wet when washing, but it's important 1. not to soak 2. Pat dry gently, 3. leave them dry between showering/face washing and not apply ointments, lotions, gels, balms or makeup to the area. Hope this helps ;-)

Me write after hearing her say "Salt".... Grabbing the table salt to scrub my powder brows. Lol. Seriously, I went to get the ombre powder brows. They came out beautiful. She told me I had to return in 8 weeks so that they last 3 years. It was my first time, so I did as she said. The problem is, they are so much darker. They look completely filled in and not the original natural ombre brows I asked for and got from her the first time. It's been over a month from the retouch, and they are still as dark as the first time. I reached out to her, and she won't respond to me.

I'm sorry to hear about this - I think it happens A LOT with powder/ombre brows and people just don't acknowledge it. The PMU industry needs to get real - a powder brow is done with a lot of little dots and the problem is that as those dots heal, they blur together and your skin processes the pigment molecules in many cases making them look darker and more dense than they did when they were first done. I think the reason that she won't call you back is that she feels she didn't do anything "wrong" - and she probably didn't, according to what she's been taught. The problem is in the procedure itself (which is why I won't offer if at my studio). A saline removal/fade would probably work well for this issue, and I wish you good luck and happy healing! ;-)
