I really enjoyed you and Snez chatting in the boat, it really was a sloppy day and never got to the magic class out that keeps us all coming back boating. Love the cook up and was such an amazing relaxing feel to it. Just a tip for you and Snez, your work and banter is so appreciated by all Fisho families, and no one bats 1000% so just getting out there is entertainment enough, But We totally agree with you that to much Propaganda is spread by the Government departments that are clueless and the true villains of ecology. At some stage, Sharks need to be seriously culled in massive numbers because the imbalance is the same with Crocs yet not one thing has been done in decades and its time, did you know you can buy this cool fish called Flake and it tastes Great? My last "Swains" trip was plagued with men in grey suits, they followed the dories and mother ship EVERYWHERE and we lost so many monster prize fish to them. Talking to the boat crew it appears that the sharks know the main sheltered overnight anchorages (restricted because of the No Go Green Zones)and the engines and gensets are a dinner gong to them. I Filmed a couple of these duckboard encounters and watched them follow the dories like flies to a stale piece of chicken. I know your frustration, thanks for sharing so see you in the New Year.

Agreed re sharks, went crabbing yesterday (unsuccessfully :( ) and fished whilst watching pots, between Fitzroy River and Port Alma. Caught 4 bull sharks, not huge. Those 4 won't do it again :)

Epic vid again. Consider a Western Australia trip, chase the wa Dhu fish. We used ‘vexed bottom meats’ similar to what you use. Back on the silent flush? Check out ‘born again boating’ he’s pretty clued up with good insight into it.

Merry Christmas guys 🎉 As for shark numbers, they definitely need to be taken care of. We too get smashed off Bundy. Any fish that puts up half a fight or half decent is taken by shark. We give up and try fill the box with hussar and the likes so as to not waste a trip.

Avoid the sharks by using your engines to aquaplane the fish up. This way the sharks never get a fish. As soon as you hook a keeper - then run the boat at 10 kt into the tide & move away from the fishing spot. This aquaplanes the fish up & keeps it out of the reach of the shark. You use more fuel but you go home with a lot more satisfaction. There's Yahoo videos showing how to do this. They also do the same for pelagics - wahoo etc - so long as the fish doesn't get it's head they aquaplane forwards with light loading on your gear. Try it out! Good fishing!

Shearing Trees. LOL So I follow the land Clearers in a 20 tonner and Hydraulic shears, I Crunch the trees up into little pieces for the grinder to deal with. I’ve been asked this a few times since releasing this one mate sorry. They appear to have limited stock atm by the looks. What sold me on this brand at the time was their drop tests, IPX ratings, weight and the reserve feature. The model I purchased is currently out of stock and they were meant for a car. I purchased based on my measurements. Be sure to check your measurements AND left and right + postings - when ordering any battery online.
