I have danced classical ballet, and also have done square dancing and contra dancing…totally different feelings, but both very loved. I had both disciplined and rewarding times, and loads of fun with friends. I always loved skating, but was never able to begin to master that….hats off to those who were!! The Olympic spirit will never die.

What I love about Salt Lake's opening ceremony is that the performers and audience were genuinely having fun. Ever since Beijing it seemed like Olympic opening ceremonies were becoming too perfect and artificial. Sometimes everyone just needs to let their hair down, put on some folk music, and have a grand ol' time.

Still one of the best Olympic ceremonies ever.... simplier but too elegante and entertaining a lot!!!! Much better than Sochi ceremonies which resources were flamboyant, but few creativity....

I live in Utah, though being born in 2005, never got to see this, Utah’s history is so unique compared to all the other opening ceremonies

America: Ugh, Why does it have to be country music. China: Oh, what a wonderful performance and what very good music.

This is just a snippet of the entire ceremony. What did you expect? This is the historical culture of the country especially Utah, so as the same as what they showed in China. The US is only a couple hundred years old. China got a culture that existed for thousand of years.
