Pointless Monk Yeah, he is... the Russian is one of the more respectable sniper rifles in the game and requires a fair amount of skill. Not for nothing, but saying someone is a good sniper in BF1 isn't saying much considering it (sniping) is the least skillful it has ever been, thanks to the reduced bullet drop (zeroing in your scope as well), auto bipods, fastest bullet velocity in BF, and the stupid OHK range.

Duke hip fire is so much better in this game than in previous games. It saves time on pulling your gun up to ads but you sacrifice accuracy. Most of the time it isn't necessary since your crosshairs are larger than your target and they consistently hit towards the center of screen rather than the outer edges of cross hair

Neel Ghost The only Elite class with actual armor is the Sentry, the Tank Hunter and the Flame Trooper just have extra health.

These decisions were likely made with gameplay in mind (though I do believe that the gaps in the Sentry armour justifies their vulnerability to knives) . Just look at a game like Red Orchestra 2/ Rising Storm where fixed machine guns inflict the same damage as a rifle. You can completely annihilate the enemy team with one if your flanks are secure.

sarcasticgooner During the calm before the storm, it is lenient with aiming your sights, but when you get into the shit it highly favors, shotguns, and support (belt-fed) weapons and hip-fire is all you need. As far as I know, after playing bf3 and 4 using iron sights feels uncomfortable and unresponsive in this game. It's a dramatically different game from the previous two.
