My take on the recipe (since it's not listed). Feel free to comment with anything I missed! 1/2 celery bundle 2 garlic heads 4 carrots 2 white onions 1 pack of fresh rosemary (like the kind you get at Albertsons) 1 pack of fresh thyme 4 leaves of fresh sage 4 short ribs (can't guess the weight by eyeballing) Olive oil Coarse salt Pepper 2 T beef bouillon 1.5 c red wine 1-2 jugs of beef stock (enough to cover ribs) 1/2 stick softened butter 16 oz Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheese Bread of your choice Pickled peppers (optional) 1. Preheat oven to 350* 2. Chopped celery, carrots, and onion. Add to a bowl. 3. Lubricate all sides of short ribs with oil. Coat nicely with coarse salt and pepper 4. Heat a pan on high heat. Add oil to the pan. Sear all sides of the ribs until a crust forms. Place ribs on a plate and set to the side. Drain excess fat 5. In the same pot, deglaze the veggies. Add bouillon and caramelize on low for about 30 min 6. Add wine to veggies and cook all the way down. Nestle ribs into the pot and submerge with beef stock. Top with herbs. 7. Cook the entire pot in the oven for 2 hours at 350* until fork tender. 8. Take ribs out of broth and shred. 9. Strain beef broth into a separate pot, mashing the veggies to get all the flavor. Reduce broth on the stove on low about 70%. 10. Assemble the grilled cheese. Butter one side of the bread. Then to the other side add cheese, meat, cheese, pepper, and top with another slice of bread. 11. In a pan, add olive oil and heat up on low. Add grilled cheese and flip once a crust has formed.

Made this tonight. Wow! Outstanding flavors. This isn’t a recipe that you just throw together an hour before lunch. Prep and cook time is close to 2 hours & 45 minutes. Definitely need at least 8 short ribs to make it worth your time. 4 pieces of ribs really doesn’t provide much meat for your efforts.

8 hrs on low. You can brown your meat and soften your veggies in another pan, then transfer to slow cooker or just throw it all in and turn it on. Up to you. ~line cook.

Butter in my opinion you need to be slightly more careful with. It will burn faster. Mayo gives a really nice golden brown toast. Both taste the same. Do whichever you prefer
