@@olliewalls1903aybe they were confused with DS2. If you die you get your health halfed and the only way to restore it is use a human effigy. But it’s fairly easily negatable. I’m the other games there is a similar sort of thing but it’s less of a negative and more of a buff consumable than a restore consumable. With the host of embers mode, after consuming an ember restores all HP and gives you a 30% boost in health. You die, you lose it. Also forgot Demon souls which does get harder to my memory but I can’t for the life of me explain that world tendency crap
