So great to see Salton Sea on your video, Jamey. David Bernal definitely build up a game that makes you struggle yet provides with enough satisfaction once you've done things the right way. It was an absolute pleasure working on this game with himself and the rest of the team, as it allowed us to work on its visuals and graphic design a bit differently compared to other games currently being published out there.

Thank you for your work on this game!

This was the best learning experience I've ever had for a board game. I sat down and breezed through the rule book (including solo) in a couple minutes and played a whole game, only checking the rules for some interactions.

Furnace has a similar mechanism -- cards are multi-purpose. When you auction for cards, you deciding do you want the resources (from the top part of the card) or do you want to card for the engine (the bottom part of the card). As a cool mechanism, the "strength" of your bid for a card is a multiplier for how many resources you get.

Thanks for highlighting Furnace! It's been a while since I last played it.

I don’t think anyone has ever described Salton Sea as rewarding before…
