Just wanted to say thanks a million for taking the time to break down and show the launch. It answered most of my questions without having to call and bug anyone. Super helpful. Launch is on the way. This series and focus on the Launch is clutch! The price may seem steep to some but consider all the functionality which could save your tank from a disaster. Also consider the peace of mind and ease of maintenance along the way. Two nice corals could set you back the price of the Launch and losing them or your fish over something avoidable, all a sudden $500 one time insurance doesn't seem too bad.

Question for Mark, Now that you have the Hydros up and running and you also have experience with the Apex also which do you think will be better and easier to use?

Will this control the varios 8 or varios 10 pumps? They used to not have enough voltage on their controller to run my pump. I use the control 4 for just ph, gyres, skimmer, heaters, and ato.

For ON/OFF control, YES. You can plug in any pump into the LAUNCH and control whether it gets power or not. But negative for variable control, that is not how this works. The VarioS 8 and 10 are 36v; there are no HYDROS Devices that can directly power these. However, on your X4, you do have a 0-10v OUT Port, in which you could have a 0-10v Quad Cable, with one pin going to the VarioS you have to Control but not power.
