Their only goal came from an Arsenal mistake. Onana with the most touches in the 1st half. The 6 points earned had a soft penalty at Forrest and a pen denied at Wolves. Stopped by Uniteds 2 RBs, Saka was pocketed and Martinelli couldnt get past AWB which is normal for almost any winger. If Garnacho wasnt leaning with his shoulder, United are leading that game going into that period, when Uniteds 5th and 6th choice CB had to play which led to Arsenal winning Arsenal did great to rally at the end to win the game against a United team missing 9 players, but lets confuse having the ball with controlling the game. If United was setup to defend it was United in control until injuries happened again

Same ref denied us 3 clear penalties and 2 Southampton players should have been sent off gave Casemiro a straight red card for winning the ball with 1 feet challenge but Saka studs Fernandes with 2 feet off the ground and both connects Fernandes and no red card.

As a United fan, obviously I’m annoyed at yesterdays result. On reflection, we can take more away from it (points aside) than Arsenal. If not for a single mm, our 19 year old winger scored a superb goal to likely win the game in the last minute of normal time. This being the case, having had to play 30 minutes with our 4th & 5th choice centrebacks, and a total of 6 first team players missing from the lineup. Six.

While Hojlund only played a handful of minutes towards the end, and Martinez had to go off injured not long into the second half. ALL of this and STILL we enjoyed 45% possession, and very nearly won the game.
