I started watching your channel 4 years ago. Always like how you get straight to the point and there is no drama. I have a turbo 5.3 fbody that I'm building , so I love being able to just look back at your old videos on how you did things. Love the channel.

Nice. I just ordered my qp axle. 35 spline and extra support for the 408 and turbo. Got the racing brakes also.

Hey James, did you adjust the torque arm bracket on the housing, until it fit where your tq arm was beforehand, or how'd you do that? I'm assuming i have to get it to where it was, then re-set pinion angle..? Congrats on your TX2K win man! You and Kyle couldn't have been a better race! Also, whatd you do for your brake lines and how'd you fasten to housing? Thanks man! Hopefully my 99 SS will be running this month! It's a 11.5:1 408, w/a 91/102 FIS turbo, Huron t4 a/c kit, Griffin stand up, dual pullers, TH400 w/new CircleD converter, it will have air, interior, and a cage! After what happened to Cali Nate last night, or the night before in TX, no way would i make anymore than about a 200' pull, and let out w/o protection! That hit too close to maybe not the level of racing he was at, but the type and people he raced with are my friends man! We all have pretty similar setups, although he's more of a no prep guy, he was at a track... i like my prepped tracks and I'm going to give a radial a try and see how it goes! I have no rear shocks yet, if you have anything used, lmk. Thanks man!

Little behind on the videos. But was wondering; I'm using Moser Custom Alloy axles & heard of folks using a second, traditional seal. Mine use a ball bearing assembly like yours, with the o-ring on the outside. Did you use anything else besides that? Anyway, looking great, James!🤘I know how exciting it is.

Hey man I have a 01 Camaro I’m building for no prep. What shocks are you using for the rear and front?
@ceejayrodrodriguez94396 ай бұрын
Are those shock mounts from UMI?

I had to cut the outer hole of my mwc torque arm and open up the inner hole to get it to bolt to my QP fabbed 9”. Curious if you have to do the same?
@BuildTuneRace Жыл бұрын
Interesting, mine bolted right up.

Can you drive 35spline pinion on street? They told me you couldn’t
@BuildTuneRace6 ай бұрын
You can drive a spool on the street but it is definitely harder on the pinon gears tires ect. Just don’t expect to get 100k miles out of them if you do a ton a street driving with your “race car” it becomes a potential wear item when they start to make noise

Why’s that? Because I didn’t go with an Aluminum one?
@derekr185411 ай бұрын
Iron is the best for alot of power. I got the iron n case. Aluminum flexes under high loads and has potential to break.
@jason747511 ай бұрын
@@derekr1854 Sure it is! Have you ever looked under a high power race car? There all aluminum.
