Salt, a crucial ingredient in most cooking, plays a vital role in flavor. Today, on Goan Appetit, we'll explore the traditional process of making local salt.

Locally made salt, has various uses beyond just flavoring food. It's traditionally used for throat infections, food preservation, making pickles, and even as manure.
